If they go slimline on the A320s like the A321s it could mean a couple extra rows. The question is whether it is worth hiring an extra FA to make that work.

Likewise. I've been happy to keep my travel (admittedly not a large amount, few trips a year, but all personal so out of my own pocket) on B6 because I've largely had good experiences & good service (and non-stop services out of BOS doesn't hurt either). Many times I've forgone slightly to moderately cheaper flights on other airlines because of those attributes. I'm sure there will be some aspects that may have to change, but there really won't be much incentive to continue flying with them if it's dumbed down to the level of most of the rest of the airlines.

Delta under the attack now (not specifically about bag fees though). Refreshing to see the CEO tell them to stuff it. I wonder how long he will last though....

Ever heard of SouthWest Airlines?
Charging for a bag would not make business pax choose B6. If anything, Kettles would move away from B6 (and switch to WN?).
At that point, B6 would be no different than UA and DL. I probably would switch all my business travel to the legacies as MileagePlus, Skymiles, and MileagePlan are much more valuable programs to me than TrueBlue.
Adding a fee for first checked bag shouldn't be an end to the current jetBlue:
As far as the first checked bag fee, it's generally reimbursable by employers. If JetBlue is competing with United on BOS-Houston, or Delta on BOS-DTW, and these routes are flown with a lot of business travel pax, it's leaving money on the table, and letting competitors have an advantage on the route.

But squeezing in more rows is a game changer, and it will deteriorate the in flight experience. More rows will mean slimline seats at reduced pitch, legroom and no DirecTV, and it would have an impact especially for those long trips like transcons which is key in it's network. Why then fly JetBlue?
