Nemawashi are usually held on Thursdays to accomodate the local sararimen schedules. Perhaps the 29th would be better for all?

Maybe.

I want to confirm three things though:

1. Will there be helpful and not indifferent locals on hand?
2. Will a menu in English be available?
3. Will the table seating plan be based on seniority or simply more random?

A:

1. There will be locals on hand. Whether they are helpful or indifferent is not a topic for discussion. When in Rome, do as the Romans.
2. What is yer problem? Deal with it!
3. Seniority shall be strictly observed.

Hope this helps.

Well we could go to Gyukaku where by comparison it would be equally exotic and the service welcoming.

The Gyukaku closed down in my former berg.......shocking I know!

Q for Tsukemono: Is this aged based seniority or is it salary based ! And if it is salary based will the perp with the highest(before tax and other inducements)salary be paying?

Lets make that global combined and then I fully agree with the intended result. No yennies this time, no no-shows, and no shirking the ancient rules of a salary based seniority. Chronological seniority is so out of style.

Definitely requesting 30th - my flight inbound NRT arrives at 1430 on the 29th.

Hey you want pony up you have my vote. You and Smidgdad show up and I am all good. If, of course, I can get into the local fare.

I can work with the 30th, but need feedback from the Illuminati.

P-san, mjm & yosi-san?

Note to Yosi-san: 1700 is doable but tight. Unless mjm ponies up with the chopper.

Second note to lava-san: Do you have an alternate date if the 29th is better for everyone else? Some of us (coff, coff) have been known to indulge on shorter intervals than mabo-days.
