Another sign that the Apocalpse is upon us

On the train home tonight, every person in my car was awake!

What is this world coming to?

Unpossible! Everyone knows the Japanese are genetically programmed to fall asleep within 5 minutes of boarding any transportation device that they are personally not operating.

I refuse to believe it without photographic evidence.

(On the other hand, tonight's sunset over Jersey was freaky enough that everyone in the office agreed the end must be near...)

And some they ARE operating, unfortunately.

FWIW

It was easier for me to get to third base in the 7th grade than it is for me to open the wasabi packets in the ANA lounge.

That's all.

In 1991 it was easier for me to get a job that paid $10 per ten minutes, than it is now to volunteer without paying!

Indeed... We are all but temporary custodians of beauty.

Ah yes, I remember fondly that "English teaching" job in 1989 for 10,000 yen an hour....

And I know someone who still vividly remembers the 10,000yen piece of sushi he ate at around the same time.

On the upside, packaging that doesn't open with a simple tear outside of a 100yen store? I'm sure that's not a bad thing for keeping the grey cells active and arthritis at bay. Recession can be good for a nation's spirit... or so I'm told. There's room for a marketing opportunity here. A little 'braintraining' logo for failed, I mean, tricky packaging. Gambarimasu!

I once asked someone to create an icon to represent "bad design" based on this image. Unfortunately, she was too busy.

For entertainment purposes only, I was looking over a Tokyo real estate website and found this Mininami-Azabu 3 lot for sale. The price seems awfully cheap for what I believe is an incredibly hip neighborhood. (Generally I'm more into non-hip, but...) A 19.83 square meter lot is small, to be sure, but wouldn't that be large enough to accommodate a 6-800 square foot home?

You had me interested there!

Shame it also says: listed since 29-Oct-08.
With a bit of thought to the design, that's a potential family home. It would be nice to keep an eye on aging family from there.
