Does this mean I get your share? When I try the wine in most izakayas, I'm reminded of a story my grandfather told me about an Irish Poteen that he came across in the 1930s...
The dubious brew was called "fixed bayonets" and the landlord explained that it was the only drink in the world that was served with a clothes brush...
"Served with a clothes brush?"
"So you can tidy yourself up after it knocks you down."
I asked my grandfather what it tasted like.... "Something between shoe leather and petrol."

It was great to see you all.
(Tad - We looked for you at Shimbashi but we guessed that you must have stayed home to prepare for your finals. Good luck with them!)
Now I'm going to have to do my homework on purchasing tickets through BKK and back-to-back RTW tickets and so on.... interesting.

(Pedantic me - Even though you're in the North, you still have to come up to Tokyo.
Them's the rules).BTW - I'm curious about why you are in Akita... Do you work for TDK?

Actually, I live in Akita because that's where my wife's business is. Right now I attend Akita Prefectural University. (One of these days I'll put some entries in the various "Who we are" CommunityBuzz threads and properly introduce myself...)

Good to meet you all!
Had fun. Nothing's better for a good nights sleep after a transpac than staying up and drinking.
Will need to do the same tonight, tomorrow, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday with my friends and co-workers!
Cheers,
Scho

jib71, you must be enjoying the warmer Okinawa weather by now. Think of us poor, cold folk from time to time.
