We got through in about 45 minutes total -- the way they have it set up is awful -- North security is closed and they are using maybe half of the other one that everyone must go through. I would recommend that you stay to the left side once you scan your BP -- on the right is where all the special needs pax feed into -- that means everyone with kids, older folks, crew, and people with tight flights.... This was the line we were in and they always gave priority to them -- STAY LEFT!
The facial recognition line was empty -- we may sign up for that if this doesn't get back to normal soon. On the flip side -- we flew domestically from Haneda last week and there was no wait....

This was the first time I epxerienced such crowds in Haneda on the outbound side, I'm usually departing overnight and it has always been a breeze. Now it looked like a total mess, I have only seen this long waiting times at Chinese airports before.

Do you know how to register for the Face ID lanes? I departed on April 29th in the morning (on TG) ands waiting time was about one hour, with both securities open (although not all counters). Face ID was less crowded, but it seems to have been available only for JL and NH pax. I did not fully get how it works.

haneda check in counter 9pm
through security 9:15 (wish they had suite checkin and dedicated security like NRT)
suite lounge 9:18
definitely a lot of people in the terminal. there are separate screening sections and if I had paid closer attention I could have shaved at least 5 minutes off by going through the less crowded line next to mine. Still not horrible though.

Flew out of HND on Saturday, 5/20 to LAX on AA 27. Got to airport early around 2:00, and the line into security was stretched out to the other escalator. Couldn’t check in until 3:15 and by that time, the crowd entering into security had shrunk considerably. From check in through passport control, it was 35 minutes. This must have been a lull before the evening departures, so I guess the time you at the airport will affect your wait to clear everything.

May 13 Arrived into HND just after 1030pm; there were several flights arriving from Europe just before us. Got landside just after last last train had departed (~1150pm). Seemed to be no queue for Japanese nationals, but other passport holders, the queue snaked at least 10 times, with each line approx 50m long.

Intl. arrival today into HND. About 40min in immigration line for non-nationals, and by the time I was through my bags had still not been delivered. Then Domestic departure from T1 South, 5min at security around 4pm.

Returned from US a couple of weeks ago. HND, about 14:00 arrival. Immigration was fine. For my Japanese wife and daughter, a couple of minutes, while for me with residence about 5-10 minutes because of a few slow ones up in front of me. But then we waited for at least 30 minutes for luggage to show up. Was surprised that it took so long, but have noticed other similar comments recently.
