Just got back from the Mitsui Garden Gotanda and loved the facilities and locations. I stayed in a superior room and it was really, really tiny by western standards. If I came back, I'd definitely opt for a larger room, but for the ~ USD $100/night I paid, the place was an amazing deal.

I strongly recommend "The blossom hibiya" hotel, it is close to public transportation, superior city view within the room, and one of the highest rated hotel in Tokyo, and is inexpensive if you can book ~6 months before your trip.
DId you book direct (hotel web site) or via third party OTA? |
Hey everyone going to be in Tokyo next year with my 20 month old and wife. Can anyone recommend toddler friendly hotels? I've looked at some and it seems like a lot of the Japanese brands only give cribs to children 1 and under?

Booked last minute Ginza International Hotel in May for Saturday + Sunday night, 17500 JPY per night ($125 USD at current conversion rate).
Nothing bad to say about the hotel, very good location. Didn't really use any of the facilities. They do offer an inexpensive massage open until 4AM. Would book again at that price. The rooms are slightly bigger than the average room (i.e. you can actually open a suitcase and lay it flat). |

My cousin has been staying there with his family and says it's good value, it being across Tokyo station helps a lot with long-distance trips.

It's a good 20 minute walk from the southern entrance of Tokyo station, but it's across the road from Shimbashi station, so connections are good.

What is a solid, but inexpensive option with easy access to Haneda Airport?

Fastest Keikyu line option gets from Shinagawa to Haneda in 13 minutes. |

Isn't that a Marriott hotel?
There is also the Grand Prince Takanawa which is connected, but that's not the one I'm talking about either. What I'm talking about is just called the Prince Hotel Shinagawa. But that hotel itself has like 3 or more towers. |
I've always had pleasant stays at the Sunroute hotel chain. The plaza in Shinjuku is nice and well positioned. Have also stayed at the Higashi Shinjuku branch but didn't like the location even though it was literally next door to the metro.
I believe Sunroute is now called Sotetsu? Anyways, for my next trip in November I decided to try a different chain in different areas. So I'll be staying at remm hotels in Roppongi and Akihabara. Besides the convenient locations, the business rooms are slightly larger than standard Apa rooms (14m2 VS 10m2). Any feedback on these hotels? |

I have a 6:20am flight out of HND to OKA in a couple months. Ended up booking the Dormy Inn Kawasaki. Cheap, has an onsen (or sento), and free food. 25ish minutes to HND getting me there at 5:30am.
