haneda tokyo for the first time

I will be flying to haneda in late April early May I will be alone and will be arriving on the hawaiian airlines flight that gets in very late at night. Does anyone have any pointers or recommendations on how I long will it take before I get to my hotel. I will be staying at the Marriott that says it is about 5 miles from the airport.

Wirelessly posted (Xperia Z: Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; Android 4.4.4; D6503 Build/23.0.1.A.0.167) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/41.0.2272.94 Mobile Safari/537.36)

The flight arrives in 2205 local which is still pretty early in tokyo standard. I assume you are staying at tokyo marriott which is at shinagawa, that you just need to take keikyu line to reach there follow by a short taxi ride.

Or just take taxi from airport. It cost less than 100 usd

A taxi should be much less than $100! Shinagawa is really not that far from Haneda; I would think a taxi would be $25 or less.

Personally I would take the Keikyu line to Shinagawa and then take a taxi from there. It should take about 25 minutes total.

For a taxi from Haneda airport to Shinagawa after 10pm you're looking at a fare of 4,000 - 5,000 yen

(Source: Nihon Kotsu taxi fare estimator).

If you use Google Maps it will show you public transport options and car travel time and distance. The cab will cost about 300 yen per km plus tolls. Note that there is a station called Kita-Shinagawa next to the hotel, which is the stop before the main Shinagawa station.

Are all taxis from Haneda International set fare?

Does this table apply?

http://www.haneda-tokyo-access.com/e...port/taxi.html

How do I check with the driver if it's a set fare taxi?

What's the best route to take to Shinjuku from Haneda?

I am not to sure about the set fare taxi. I came in about 1030pm and I just took a regular taxi to my hotel in shinagawa which costed about 60usd
Have you tried Google maps using the train? I got around planning my routes the night before and wrote down the directions and followed.

If you just step into a cab at the airport (without arranging it through keikyu or another firm), you'll be paying the meter fare.

So is it possible to get a set fare taxi from Haneda International to Shinjuku?

Should i use the meter or organise a set fare taxi? Would be travelling around 6:30am-7:00am.

How's the traffic at the time?

Thanks

I am not too sure about the traffic but early in the mornings the train stations tend to be busy. If it's easy to communicate about asking about the set fare I would say go that route.
But if you have to go the other route I found the easiest is to make sure you have your destination written down and show that to them.
Good luck!
