Weirdly timely subject because we're on the second of three JL bookings within two months last Monday, and the Missus finally got fed up with the Magic system and asked for my media player.

Can't remember the last time I actually watched anything on the entertainment system...I usually load up my iPad with shows/movies and keep the map open on the IFE screen

I prefer watching on the JAL 23"monitor, if there was anything to watch.

I find that the internet service is pretty good on JAL so I don't even use the IFE apart from the moving map most of the time. On my most recent flight the other day to HNL I never even removed the headphones from the plastic packaging. But on the rare occasions that I have looked at films, I'd have to agree the limited content leaves a lot to be desired.
