Just to kick start a wiki, with answers to frequent questions.
1. We're flying HND-NGO-HNL. NGO-HNL is booked in business class, but HND-NGO is in economy. Will we still get the baggage allowance as if we're flying business class the whole way?
2. We're flying HND-NGO-HNL. Will we have lounge access in HND?

Hey everyone, I changed my flights to spend some time in Japan before heading to Honolulu. My original booking is now from LHR to HND in first class, then HND-CTS in business (also on JL). Now that I have an onward, domestic ticket on JL, I should be able to access the first class lounge on arrival according to One World lounge policies.
I land at T3 (where the lounge is), but HND-CTS departs T1. Is my assumption correct that I land, follow the signs for sterile international transit, then grab dinner at the lounge? Afterwards I will need to go through immigration and transfer to T1. Just want to clarify what access on arrival looks like, I don't want to have to double back from T3 to T1 and back to T3 for the lounge and back to T1.

You will not be allowed to go via International Transit as you have a boarding pass for HND-CTS.
You will need to go via Immigration, collect your luggage ( point of entry to Japan), clear customs then go to the domestic transfer desk to drop your bags off then head over to T1 and clear security there
As you have arrived off a First class flight then you should have access to the first class lounge ( called Diamond premier). It is not that bad imho for a japanese domestic lounge ( better than the domestic sakura lounges) with some snacks, drinks, showers ( i think) and ok for a little while

I have no luggage. Can I still enter via T3 and go to T1 later, or do I need to try to change my onward flight from HND to be international? (But still needs to be JL/OW in order to get international lounge access).

Thanks so much. I am not interested in the domestic first class lounge, only the international one here: https://www.jal.co.jp/jp/en/inter/se...nge/hnd/first/

You will need a international flight from T3 to get t3 lounge access via transfer ( and for the next leg to be less than 5hrs iirc in J/Y for First class access based on LHR-HND in F. If the connecting flight is in F then no problem re length of flight ). I do not think ( 99% certain that otherwise you would not get T3 access based on your domestic itinerary but others with more transfer experience may confirm)

The only F flight that has a working connection is HND-SYD and I don't want to go that far...
Time to rework my travel plans! Thank you for your help!

Thank you so much for all your help! I think you are right, looks like they don't allow you to enter T3 with a domestic itinerary. Looks like that narrows my only options are connecting on a flight to TSA, GMP, or MNL since those are the only JAL/OW flights under 5 hours that have a same-day connection (aka before 6am the next day). Cathay Pacific's HKG is 5 hours 10 minutes and I figure they will be very strict on the 5 hour limit. MNL barely squeezes by with 4 hours 55 minutes...

We are flying JL42 LHR-HND in business class in February and premium economy on the return leg. After now reading some reviews I'm wondering/overthinking whether I've made a mistake. My Son is 6ft4 and some say the sky suite is narrow and cramped for length when lying flat. We're in 7D, G and H. Appreciate any feedback

I'm of similar length as your son, emmaewe, and the SkySuite surely was not long enough for me. However, keeping my legs bent a little enabled me to remain at least somewhat comfortable. It is also not the widest seat but it was much more comfortable than the SSIII seat (reverse herringbone configuration) that I had on my other long haul segment with JAL.

Choose a Major City
In case anyone else stumbles upon this from the same error... You need to pick a major city. For instance, I live in a small Kentucky town, and it gave me the error, so I chose Cincinnati, Ohio and it worked. I don't think the mailing address very much matters anyway, at least if you're only signing up for a rewards account.

For each award, a maximum of one international flight sector and one Japan domestic flight sector are permitted each way.
Award tickets are issued for one-way and round-trip travel. Itineraries must originate or terminate in Japan.

They have listed the wrong plane type a couple of times in the past. I would go by JAL website which still lists A351 as the plane type.
