I had posted a few months ago that it was likely the HI on King would soon become a Hyatt and indeed it is now official:

IHG is back in Quebec City. The Holiday Inn Express Quebec/Sainte-Foy is now open. There's still no IHG presence in the heart of the city.

Anyone has any news on the opening date for the HI Almaty in Kazakhstan? I'm there in dec and my client would like a cheaper option over the IC which is like 350 Euro a night.

Hmm checked the dates and looks like they are taking reservation from Dec 7 onwards. Ohhh and all rooms are the same price from standard room to King Executive Suite. Booked a suite just in case. Let's see. New hotel opening likely to be a 'bumpy' stay at best :)

Cheers ...
