Usually if you expand a plain 'deluxe room' it will say something along the lines
'Deluxe Room Type Allocated on arrival, your bed and smoking preferences can not be guaranteed'.
I always choose rooms 'Bed Type' I want at booking time if available, but if only my non-preferred 'bed type' showing I choose deluxe and hope I get the non-showing other room beds type at checkin time

Not sure why you are asking this point, as applies to all hotels and brands. Typically whether booking standard/superior/deluxe room type etc, within each room bracket you usually see different bed types eg a)deluxe room twin beds b)deluxe room queen bed d)deluxe room king bed e)deluxe room + in some countries a smoking/non-smoking room set per roomtype.

If you have the opportunity to select the specific room / bed type that you want, book that one

Now the first issue is resolved, I haven't recieved a response to these two:
-I read on the hotel website that I can be escorted from the jetbridge to the hotel desk. Does anyone recommend that?
-How are the dining options in the hotel? I would really love a good meal at the hotel.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers

The hotel is connected to the terminal I would rather escort myself, its not like a 3rd world country like Cambodia, where I would like to be escorted from the plane to the immigration and into a waiting car.

it is literally a 5 minute (or less) walk from terminal 3 customs to the hotel front door! No need for escort service.
Read tripadvisor ... I am giving you the direct link for CP Changi reviews below

CP is inside Airport, you can , I believe use restaurants in airport because of this, although CP Changi has good restraunts too.

Probably expensive compared to what's nearby, I am heading there in a few weeks and will be checking out the staff canteens at the airport that are essentially hawker centres http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/singa...i-airport.html

Ate there a number of times when my boss happens to head there for lunch. Lots of variety I must say, do try the Hokkien Prawn Mee.

I'm actually considering eating at the food court before I check-in. Any idea if they have local cuisine like prawn mee, satay, roti, Bubur cha cha, etc? I remember I had Char kway teow last time I was there. I wish I had more food though.

Can't really remember, if I happen to be in Changi Airport will take a look. Which terminals are you considering to eat at the food court? I may not have time to scout all 3 terminals haha...

Sorry if this is a foolish question, but is this a transit hotel similar to the Ambassador where you can avoid immigration/customs? Have just a 9 hour layover.
