I've read and re-read the T&Cs and I think I've got the answer, but I'd love clarification.

If I book my stays now, for after the 17th Sep, will I get the 4x bonus?

I am registered for the promo already, and the wording in the T&Cs makes it seem like it would be the case.

I read all the posts and the T&C. I would like clarifications, please.

1. triple bonus is for any qualifying (begining with second qualifying except Candlewood and Satybridge start with first qualifying stay) booked through IHG websites. Can be paid with any accepted form of payments.
2. pay with Visa get 2000 bonus point (or 4x if you think IC).

Am I right. I don't want to miss out on the triple bonus just because I like my MC more than my Visa.

mti: Yes, you can book now for promo stays starting the 17th. I just did!

Nancy: You'll forego 1x base points using your MC (3x vs. 4x). An actual IC stay would be 8000 points with Visa, and 6000 points using any other payment.

Wouldn't it be 10000 with Visa?

Base: 2000; 4x bonus: 6000; and 2000 with Visa?

How can you be sure you'll get the points for those stays? I'm not talking about point stays, I mean paid stays.

I stand corrected, having conflated the Visa and online booking bonuses.

I'm basing my assertion on prior experience with lots of promos.

I think I understand.

3X for qualifying stays regardless of reservation or payment methods.
4X for qualifying stays booked online
extra 2000 point for paying with visa.

Would appreciate if anyone has any insight:

The promo starts September 17, and I have a stay planned for the night of the 16th. Would a stay on the night of the 16th, where I check out on the 17th count?

Thanks

for what it's worth:IMO promos generally start on a Mon and that would be considered a Sun stay

... and if one has a stay starting on Sep 10 and checks out on the 18th of Sep? Would that work and be considered a first stay given that the night from 17 to 18 is included? If so, I would then move one night to a Hilton and return to a CP for a stay from Sep 19 to Sep 28 which tells you why I'm keen on getting that first stay out of the way. Thanks for any input.

Cheers ...

I would think 10-18 would work for first qualifier - but maybe worth a call to PC to be sure

To answer my own question here is the reply I got from priorityclub.com in case anyone is still wondering:

"Dear Mr. demue,

Thank you for taking the time to contact Priority Club Rewards Service Center.

We would like to inform you that so long as the stay's check-out date falls on or after September 18, 2007, it shall be counted as the first stay. Further, it must be booked directly through us or through our website.

......... "

Cheers ...
