However, my room in the Singaraja wing (Building 3, 3rd floor) had a strong damp/mouldy smell (both in the air and the sofa) and the room was clearly very humid, even though the weather was dry and sunny - if I wasn't feeling ill upon arrival, maybe I would have complained and switch rooms.

.
I had the same issue when I was there in Sept. They brought me a dehumidifier which ran constantly and I ended up emptying it every few hours for my 6 day stay. It made a huge difference.

Thanks for the updates everyone, some rooms do indeed get the blunt of rain or sun or both + temperament in aircon / outdoor temperatures . Interesting about the portable humidifier, i had experienced it once on arrival but in my instance it cleared out when turning the AC completly off, put the ceiling fan on max speed rotation and open all doors/slidingdoors to balcony for a good cross breeze to get odeur and stake air out....
For added effect i was fanning myself too

Checking out after the 4 nights on points. Just wanted to add the Sunset Bar with not so good band is nice place to see ocean (there are lights) and menu is better than bar food. Can recommend Barramundi and pork tacos. Italian restaurant not really Italian and excellent food and service.

Thanks SAVAGE25 (post#2147) as Karma Spa for relaxing massages- 90 min Royal Massage.

Had a quick one night stay at IC Jimbaran Bali two weeks ago. Needed to pick up my mother from DPS in the evening, hence the 4 PM checkout did came in handy. Booked myself an entry level room using the IHG Destined rate. Was upgraded to a Singaraja Space Access room. Room is the same but it came with Singaraja Space Access. Nice space to do some work and have a soft drink, but ofcourse a different league then the Club Lounge. That said, I was happy to have the access.

It was my first time in the hotel in the smallest room, stayed almost every time in a Mezzanine Room (and one time in the Classica Villa). Noticed the difference in space this time, think I would prefer the Mezzanine the next time.

Still enjoy Jimbaran Beach and the views of the airport every time again when I am staying here. Best beach on Bali in my opinion.

To my surprise the 100 USD credit from the Destined rate stacked with the 20 USD Ambassador rate. Had dinner, lunch and a few drinks but still only used around half of the credit. The only thing I did not really liked, was the breakfast at Taman Gita. Maybe I am just spoiled or too much used to Indonesian breakfasts nowadays, but I was not very impressed with the breakfast spread.

Hope to come back for a longer stay next year.

Based on my experience of the dinner at the poolside restaurant and the breakfast, I would say F&B is not a strength of the hotel. Nothing was awful, but most items were just not quite spot on in terms of flavour and overcooking.

Lots of fantastic restaurants within a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Ive always enjoyed breakfast there but its just a typical hotel buffet. Dinner, I always go outside.

Checked in today.

We booked 3rd party but they still let me add my PLT AMB membership to the Reservation and gave me a choice of 10k points or $50 USD Room Credit since they can't upgrade me as we booked the highest level of Club Room without venturing into the suites.

Also got 2 free drink coupons.

Welcome gift is a luggage tag (lame):

Looks all very good and that's a nice gesture !
Enjoy your stay on those balmy Bali beaches and radiant subshine while we are all out here in the cold in winterjackets and runny noses .....!

Is it a third party or an IHG/Virtuoso destined type of rate. as If it Is a true third party rate with no IHG benefits I am surprised that they gave you the option as the hotel has historically been very clued about the IHG programme.

AA Hotels--100% third party and not Virtuoso, my good dude.

I expected nothing as I have been here probably 10x booking through IHG and non-IHG,but they provided me with all AMB benefits.

Out of curiosity, why would you book through an OTA when there’s a good chance you won’t get your benefits or points?

If it’s a price difference and IHG won’t approve a BRG, I would just contact the hotel directly and ask them to match the price.

I use bookAAhotels a lot for AA status (Loyalty Points). I don't care about hotel points/benefits at this hotel because we can't get upgraded any more past what we book. We come annually to this beautiful place.

Just like I always use Virtuoso for IC Barclays in NYC because they provide complimentary club lounge access.

Just want to confirm that as an annual lounge pass holder, i will have access to the real Club InterContinental, not the inferior something lounge instead.

The room rate is very enticing on my dates, even cheaper than Hyatt Regency and only 1/3 of the rate at Andaz. I might skip Hyatt night credit for this stay.

I booked a whatever lowest standard room. Is it worth using a CSU at this resort? I just want a room with ocean view if available, no need to be a suite. My status is Diamond Ambassador,

Thank you.

Yes, you will get access to the good lounge.

The hotel is mostly built perpendicular to the ocean, so there are very few rooms with an ocean view. I’ve been there twice and didn’t have ocean view either time. I didn’t use a CSU since first time I was only there 1 night and 2nd time, there was no availability. The first time I was upgraded to one of the 2 story suites which I don’t really like. I’d rather be on one floor. The second time, I got a standard room (which is a decent size at about 400 sq ft) and the upgrade is that the room is close to the lounge. But as I said, I prefer that to a 2 story suite.

I just looked at the Jivana Villa which goes for $3000/night and it has Garden View. Scroll through all the room options and see if you can find one with ocean view.
