As the titel says........
To clarify, the hotel's owners have a tendency, rather more of a habit actually, at their own whim to use the "named" suites + villas.
One Bedroom Suite Club Lounge Access 87 sqm (was formaly known as garden suite)
Balinese Suite Club Lounge Access 101 sqm
Uluwatu Suite Club Lounge Access 103 sqm
Sanctuary Suite Club Lounge Access 124 sqm
Pecatu Suite Club Lounge Access 152 sqm
Bukit Suite Club Lounge Access 152 sqm
Classic Villa Club Lounge Access 378 sqm
Jivana Villa Club Lounge Access 378 sqm
Hence a logistic nightmare for the hotel and thus to avoid headache, these suites are blocked from CSU and the upgrade RA/AMB path..
Sometimes a whole wing or sector can be taken by the owners to accomodate their guests.
Revenue suite guests are fortunately not impacted but you might find yourself among security and persons of power.
The duplex suites have been renamed to
- mezzanine with Singaraja space access
- mezzanine with Club Intercontinental Lounge access
* all of these are scattered about around the resort
* the CSU upgrade to the mezzanine does
not auto-grant Club Intercontinental Lounge access
You can access the lounge only if:
- your orginal booking was a club room or had club access as part of the rate
Stay - Club room Stay - Clubroom : TWIN
- you have a valid annual lounge pass
- you are willing to pay the Club Intercontinental surcharge (Price varies on factors like season, occupancy, persons)
- RA
IMHO:
these mezzanine
duplex are still huge as with 2 bathrooms, sofabed downstairs and bedroom upstairs = fit for family if 4 with ease. You can consider them suites, for American audiences bit like the townhouse/loft suite similair to IC Miami.
Anyway this recent video shows you in good detail what the CSU will get you, there is value to be enjoyed
Note: if concerned about one's bombi:
- Mezzanine room only has the bidet stick
- "Named" suites feature the Toto washlets
But the mezzanine with its open plan and split level will ofcourse not be to expectation if you expect true 1 bedroom suites with strict division between living room and bedroom.
That specific layout is only offered by:
Current inventory in named suites :
Club suite 4x garden suite
Balinese suite 3x
Uluwatu suite 4x
Sanctuary suite 2x
Bukit suite 4x
Pecatu suite 1x
Villa 2x
So you are aware that the hotel tries to balances nimble like Odysseus to satisfy revenue guests, CSU as per IHG1rewards T&C and the wiles/whims of its powerful owner.
