Trying to use a SNU on an upcoming 3 night reservation at the IC Monterey, they are having issues, I suggested it was because I added some bonus points to the best flexible rate so told them to get rid of them if they need so they can apply the SNU.

Still waiting for the confirmation but might be best to avoid bonus point selection if you want to apply SNU
edit: even after changing to best flexible rate they cannot apply the SNU, apparently this is the hotel blocking it. I am slightly annoyed since it is not in any blackout period I can find and they have suites available for sale in my dates. Was already iffy given past reviews on this property (IC Monterey California) and may just stay somewhere else.

It are always the same hotels playing games with upgrades (or other benefits).

this thread has started nearly a year ago. The new programm is now in place and we all have discovered the good and the bad. I have received a couple of reqeust to update the information in the old thread.
