I'd ask the rewards guy in the UK but I get a feeling he won't know either :-)
None of the Mr and Mrs Smith in santorini was sadly available on points...

Congratulations everyone on getting the attractive points rate!

Happy days!

I didn't jump on, this time....

But my curiosity kills me if i forget to ask this:

With so many FT-folks snagging good award bookings at different hotels across the IHG-network,
If at any chance you have a moment to report back,
if you are the hotel staying with an award booking,
if you got to receive your diamond welcome amenity of breakfast

would be most helpful! Thanking in advance

My great score yesterday was the humble-sounding HIX Pensacola Beach. I love this property for award stays because every room has a gulf-facing balcony, so no worries about getting a lesser room because paying with points. Anyway, 20K yesterday comes down to 13.5K after 4NF & 10%. Today, the hotel is showing 66K-84K for my nights, and cash prices starting at $485.

Happy to report back to you HadesNL . Changed my 35/K booking at the Crowne Plaza JFK to the Indigo Brooklyn Williamsburg for 30/K when I see this yesterday. Even for a short 25 hours layover on the way from Europe to Asia (lol?) I guess this hotel will work fine for me. During my last stay at the Indigo Williamsburg it was good enough. Will let you know if they offer Breakfast as Diamond welcome amenity. The stay is at the end of October though, so it will take a while.

Hi! Based on various data points, seems like Reward Nights / award bookings will still qualify for the Diamond welcome amenity, including breakfast. Can also read more from the following:

Welcome Amenity on Reward Nights?

I was able to snag a room at The Venetian yesterday for 50k/nt but it's now back to the ~135k/nt that it was before. However, The Palazzo is still available for the 70k/nt that it was yesterday if anybody is still looking for a "deal".

My booking made yesterday for London in November has been cancelled. Luckily I was waiting to make transport bookings.

I received a confirmation email yesterday and went in to look at the reservation on the app today and noticed my points have been refunded and the reservation number comes up as cancelled.

No email saying they cancelled it which is pretty poor.

Welcome to Flyertalk! Do you mind saying which London hotel? I made one booking @ Indigo Leicester (1 night using the capped 40,000 cert). So far no issues. Fingers crossed.

I have two upcoming stays at the Indigo Kensington and was able to rebook both at the 30,000 points per night redemption, quite a bit lower than my original bookings. Between the two, it saved me over 50,000 points.

When I tried to do the same with an upcoming stay at the Indigo Paris Opera, it wasn't available with points.
