There have been reports of mail-in entry emails being sent out on 12/4 and 12/11, and the emails came in rapid succession. This is indicative of HelloWorld batching these out.
Initially batches of emails sent out was on Fridays but as of of 1/6/16 appears to be Wednesdays

--As of 1/19/16 10:00 am et(estimated) all plays were showing up as no wins. . The play site seems to be undergoing maintenance. Best not to use up the majority of your plays until things smooth out.
--As of 2:45 pm ET on 1/19 play site appears to be back up.
--as of 4:17pm ET on 1/19 500 point plays seems to be working again. No 5B prizes seem to be won at this time
--As of 6pm ET on 1/19 emails being received for wins during the morning hours of 1/19 where it stated no win after select elevator.
--As of 2:30pm EST on 1/20 still reports of nearly 100% 500 pt wins only. Best not to play alot of plays unless you only want 500 pt wins
--As of 8:00 pm EST on 1/20 multiple reports of 5B prizes being won again. Seems to be back to normal.
--As of 2:00 pm EST on 1/21 reports of $50, 2k, 5k, 1k pt wins (unsure of free night wins)

Hmmm. Wonder if that was due to an error in translating handwriting or a transcription typo. Possible that some are not receiving game play emails because mistakes are being made in the email address field? I have been worried about my entries because there is a "lowercase L" in my email address - as in "...gsmail@..." which could I suppose be interpreted as a 1 or I. ??

I received only 1 email today but I had 50 game plays left, so I kept hitting the game play link over and over. I was able to play 50 times and received 500 points each time. So if you didn't receive the correct number of emails, just hit the link in the email to see if it'll let you play.

Yesterday (late 1/5) I did receive my points for my plays that I did from 12/30- 1/3(6pm est)
I did not receive points for plays I did on 1/5-1/6.
so could a pattern be forming where you get paid out points for entries on tuesdays for plays that happened before end of day on the Sunday before?

Interesting datapoint... At this point I've received 18 emails so far this morning. I own my own domain name and my email address is fairly simple, and involves the word "the", so my email is "the_____@the_____.com" .
I also have a catch all email on my domain, so that if any email gets sent to a box that does not have a mailbox setup, it gets forwarded to a specific mailbox, and doesn't get returned to sender.
This morning, 17 of my 18 emails were sent to "teh_____@the______.com. instead of the_____@the_____.com
I know my handwriting might have been a little sloppy, but the point is that if they bork one card, it might have an impact on the others in your batch.
I also have a catch all email on my domain, so that if any email gets sent to a box that does not have a mailbox setup, it gets forwarded to a specific mailbox, and doesn't get returned to sender.

That is, just how are they entering these cards we send in? This looks like a keyboard error by someone's flying fingers, rather than a scan.
But then I wonder why all the cards would be sitting there all together, after going through the mail, and slicing open envelopes in the mailroom. (I know they are likely to have stayed close together, if mailed on the same day, and your USPS sorting center bunched them up for delivery to Kalamazoo.)
I made sure to leave space and write in large cap letters/numbers my email and my IHG number, assuming they would try to scan these quickly. I would assume their primary scan would be the member number. But, if doing the email address manually, only enter one time from that batch the email address you gave for the game.
(Thus an error one time in entering the email address would carry over into all your entries in that batch. We also might doubt that IHG would give them access to our complete member record with email from our account, and that they are handing off data between them in one direction only, and only in occasional batches.)
Just curious what is going on here. What are your suspicions from seeing their "the/teh" error? And thanks for contributing that.

I received one email today at 3:55 pm EST from a batch of 84 I mailed on 12/12. I clicked the link from the email again after the first play and received the enthusiasm message.

I'm now flashing back to college statistics and wondering if the Monty Hall problem would somehow apply to the promotion and therefore you should switch up the floor level on each play. Or if, since it's supposed to reset any prize locations before each play it doesn't apply after all.
