There have been reports of mail-in entry emails being sent out on 12/4 and 12/11, and the emails came in rapid succession. This is indicative of HelloWorld batching these out.
Initially batches of emails sent out was on Fridays but as of of 1/6/16 appears to be Wednesdays

STATUS:
--As of 1/19/16 10:00 am et(estimated) all plays were showing up as no wins. . The play site seems to be undergoing maintenance. Best not to use up the majority of your plays until things smooth out.
--As of 2:45 pm ET on 1/19 play site appears to be back up.
--as of 4:17pm ET on 1/19 500 point plays seems to be working again. No 5B prizes seem to be won at this time
--As of 6pm ET on 1/19 emails being received for wins during the morning hours of 1/19 where it stated no win after select elevator.
--As of 2:30pm EST on 1/20 still reports of nearly 100% 500 pt wins only. Best not to play alot of plays unless you only want 500 pt wins
--As of 8:00 pm EST on 1/20 multiple reports of 5B prizes being won again. Seems to be back to normal.
--As of 2:00 pm EST on 1/21 reports of $50, 2k, 5k, 1k pt wins (unsure of free night wins)

I am interested in this question also - if using a card opened after 11/15 disqualifies you.
Some more information on the "early bird gets the worm" theory:
I actually submitted a question to HelloWorld online. I used a MasterCard that was opened after 11/15/2015 (oops) and wanted to see if my entries still counted. I'm still waiting for an answer, but I did get an email that read
"Due to the overwhelmingly positive response and participation in the IHG and MasterCard® Priceless Surprises®.Promotion, we are resolving a minor delay in delivering Instant Win game plays. my only worry would be if your brand new mastercard has some weird 6 digits number that is one of a kine and only came out after the promo started..

Some more points posted to my account, I got 12 more 500 and my 5000 posted. which I don't think is the order I won them in, so who knows how this is going to post.

As expected, they do not count towards elite qualifying pts - loophole was plugged after someone posted here, again as expected despite the poster rudely disagreed.
No new email today. I have only 2 outstanding plays from entries in Dec. But husband has 30 outstanding plays. 2 batches sent a week ago probably would take 2 more weeks before seeing play emails. I just hope husband's account catches up by then.

I mailed entries for myself and my daughter about Dec 10th. I have not received any emails/plays. I wrote out all of them for us both and I now think I wrote her MC number on my cards and mine on hers. I read a few pages back where someone said that would not matter because MC would not give Hello World access to information and the first 6 digits are not identifying to an account. Is that pretty certain? I ask because I could mail new ones with correct account numbers. I wasn't so worried until everyone is reporting getting so many emails this week, for entries sent in much later than ours.
I forgot to REGISTER before sending my index cards in... but at least I did it a couple days afterward.
Would have wasted $50 otherwise. Whew...

finally got my first emails tonight. sent 10 envelopes, 5 each for two accounts on 1/4. I only got 5 emails for 1 account. All 500 points each.

Got 72 emails Jan 19th. 71 = 500 pts, 1 = 0 pts. guess i was part of the 500 for everyone.

For all the people worried about the Mastercard, I didn't have a US-registered one and used my brother-in-law's first 6 digits. As I've pointed out upstream, it really doesn't much matter since you can't individually identify anybody from 6 digits. At most, those digits identify a Mastercard and probably the bank issuing the card.

Just checked into my first IHG property of the year, and had 34 more emails come through. I know they aren't related in anyway, but still made me laugh a little bit.
