Etihad First Class unable to book through AA

Etihad First Class unable to book through AA
Hey what's up guys!
I'm a little new to flyertalk but my friend encouraged me to create a thread about my problem. I'll try to break it down with out too much fluff.
I'd like to fly first class in the A380 with Etihad Airlines from Abu Dhabi to London-Heathrow.
When I search on Etihad's Guest website I find the First Class spot available.
However, when I call AA they can only see the economy seats. I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem?
Coach doesn't seem too bad but I can't get over the chance to spend 40k points to fly in that A380 1st class flyness

Long story short... you need to call AA Australia. They can see the flights and book them.

My guess is the main problem is you are seeing the Etihad award seat under "First Freedom." AA only has access to the Etihad award space in the "Guest First" category.
There have also been reports in the thread below of needing to call the AA Australia reservations line because of the AA USA having difficulty seeing space that shows up in "Guest First" category.
