I've been lurking for years and finally decided to join!

Just joined after checking out random threads a few times. I'm a semi-frequent traveler (4-5x per year between business & personal), and just got seriously into miles and rewards in October. Previously, I'd been using rewards credit cards like Arrival+ for statement credits. Last year, we booked a land/cruise tour in Vietnam and Cambodia and didn't want to pay for flights. In 6 months I accumulated enough United miles (through CC & purchases) to fly us Chicago—Hanoi in business class and Siagon—Chicago economy in Dec/Jan with an out of pocket cost of about $200. Not too shabby. We've already racked up another 200,000 miles (mostly AA) for future travels.

Hi everyone! I've been lurking on Flyertalk for years now, and finally decided to join this month. I've been a frequent flyer for years, and I am a 1k with UA and EXP with AA for 2015.

I had quite a bit of loyalty to UA, but due to the changes they've been making (death by a thousand cuts), my loyalty is now with AA.
