I flew "JetSelect" on Konnect last week. I believe the food is the same as the domestic Y meals on normal Jet flights, rather than the packaged stuff that they sell on normal Konnect filghts. It's definitely not the full service that you get on proper Premiere flights.

The seat is the same as on the old domestic Premiere planes, with perhaps slightly tighter pitch. Overall, I wasn't too impressed, and certainly wouldn't have paid the full price for the seat (I upgraded).

13k is the normal Konnect Select fare, which is about right - 17k is the discounted biz fare, and 23k is the normal DEL-BOM one-way fare.

I think we have to be careful about which particular Konnect flights we are talking about, as the fleet is now in transition from Konnect + Jet mainline (where a lot of you were able to web checkin to the Jet mainline biz seats), to all-Konnect seat configs.

I think that the 2 x 2, 2 row configuration is the new Konnect Select decided upon now, and should stay until they see full Select cabins.

Not all Konnect flights offer Select. Where select is offered (online ticketing will show this as Premiere/Select), they are "retrofitted retrofitted" aircraft. Only 2 rows of Select, row 2 being a bit cramped compared to normal J but obviously better than any Y or Konnect. If flying Select, be sure to OLCI on Row 1 for the best experience.

Mainline Jet aircraft are used only in case Select metal is not available - usually on positioning flights.

So you *have* successfully used OLCI for grabbing Row 1? I would think that this would restrict paying Select pax, as there are only 8 seats!

Voucher Upgrade to Konnect Select

Unlike mainstream 9W flights, I believe one can upgrade to Konnect on voucher, irrespective of booking class (except for G - group bookings), and whether or not you're JP Plat (on mainstream, only Plats have the benefit of upgrading on any fare class, for all others, its got to be K or higher).

Need to confirm if this is correct. If yes, its a decent way to travel in a little bit more comfort !

Is this technique still working? - After Jet started offering Konnect Select as a PE.

Some what OT...

I observed the 9W has converted lot of short-haul flights in North India (ATQ, IXC, LKO etc) and much of North East into JetLite (S2). This is additional to the strategy of reducing full service 9W services and converting them to dreaded Konnect flights.

More S2 flights means less award inventory
