I think that the 2 x 2, 2 row configuration is the new Konnect Select decided upon now, and should stay until they see full Select cabins.
Not all Konnect flights offer Select. Where select is offered (online ticketing will show this as Premiere/Select), they are "retrofitted retrofitted"

aircraft. Only 2 rows of Select, row 2 being a bit cramped compared to normal J but obviously better than any Y or Konnect. If flying Select, be sure to OLCI on Row 1 for the best experience.
Mainline Jet aircraft are used only in case Select metal is not available - usually on positioning flights.
