I've got a different question, about baggage on IndiGo domestic flights. IndiGo online says the allowance is 15 kg, but it also says "For Double or MultiSeats bookings, extra 10 kg." I don't understand what that means. I'm not even sure what the terms mean - can anyone clarify what they are and what the difference is?
I'll be flying with my wife - is that a double booking? A multiseat booking? Does that mean we'd each get a 25 kg allowance as a "reward" for being a double or multiseat booking. Or that the first person gets a 15 kg allowance and the second person only 10kg? Or what?
While I'm at it, does anyone know what the cost for extra kg is on short flights (COK-HYD, HYD-BOM?). On their baggage page I see the rules for domestic bags (though confused by them) but not the costs for being over them.
Hoping someone can clarify. Thanks!

On Indigo you can purchase additional seats to be kept free for you, so you could potentially buy 1-2 extra seats. Those come with additional baggage. If you just buy a ticket for you & your wife you get 15+15 KG.
The additional baggage cost is shown during the booking process. You have to do a dummy booking for the sectors you have in mind to look that up.

Its a bit confusing so I don't blame you for not following.
This is the way their thought process works:
If you have under 20kgs then you can check in as many bags as you want.
If you buy excess baggage then they will charge you in multiples of 5kg.
So if you have 29kg then you can either check-in one bag & just pay for the extra 10kg. If you want to check-in 2 bags then the first bag upto 20kg will be free & they will charge you ₹1,615 for the second bag & excess baggage for the 10kg.
Now lets suppose you have 3 bags. If you have 10kg in each bag then the first 2 will be free as they fall under the 20kgs allowance. You will have to pay ₹1,615 for the third bag as well as the charge for the 10kg slab.
