Official India-based Airlines Award Availability Check Request Thread
Along the lines of the Southwest Airlines thread, I was wondering if it makes sense to have a thread to check 9W's award availability since one needs 3,500 miles to check on the website.
Can a kind soul please let me know the miles & taxes for any BLR-BOM/COK/TRV flight?

Here is what i found.
BLR COK
4000 Miles plus Rs 1004 (including everything) in economy
8000 Miles plus Rs 1104 (including everything) in premier
Premier seats available only in 9W2307.
BLR BOM
6800 Miles plus Rs 1004 (including everything) in economy
13600 Miles plus Rs 1104 (including everything) in premier
BLR TRV
4800 Miles plus Rs 1004 (including everything) in economy
9600 Miles plus Rs 1104 (including everything) in premier
The reason i checked taxes for each sector was i remember paying more than 1200 on BOM DEL redemption few weeks back so just wasn't sure if it will be same on each flight but i guess the difference won't be much (if any).

I am generally very particular with this optional insurance but since I wasn't going to book the flight I guess I just missed that part.

+1
also note that airport taxes differ for each airport and specially the newer airports ( DEL / CCU/ BLR/ HYD) charge much more than others and this increases the difference..

I don't know if this thread is just about domestic or international but I recently tried booking an award ticket from Amsterdam to Lisbon via a partner airline using JP Miles.
The ticket would've been booked on Lufthansa (via Frankfurt) and there was availability. The trip would cost 10,000 miles. Taxes came to about Rs. 9,500.
This wasn't a good deal for me since I could fly the same route with easyjet or another budget airline for about the price of the taxes i.e. Rs. 9,500.
Decided against it but just putting this here for your information

The taxes are considerably less on the Middle Eastern carriers and so makes sense on the routes they fly. But, of course finding availability on your desired dates is another story altogether.
