Jet Awards: by zone or segment?

I am a little confused by JPmiles website. Are Jet awards by segment or by zone. Say I want to go CCU-DEL-BRU. Will it be 27000 miles or 9660 for CCU-DEL + 27000 for DEL-BRU = 36660 miles? one way

If it is the latter, Jet is probably the worst airline program I know. I am guessing it is the former.

Can someone please clarify?

jet awards are by segments for their own members. if you are trying to secure seats via another program, their rules apply. So YMMV.

I don't see how you can conditionally like or dislike the program.

it will be 36,660 miles....as of late the jp program has been going from bad to worse but trust me on this, it is nowhere close to being the worst airline program....

this is my first experience of attempting to redeem JP miles and it seems pathetic! The price in miles for each segment will be added! Very close to Delta's broken search engine.

but unlike delta atleast you have the ability to book one way journeys without paying an arm & a leg in points....

I would really rate it as worst.

I sent an email to JP on 10th May, for redeeming miles for travel scheduled on 31st May, on a partner airline. 3 follow-up emails and 2 calls - still haven't got a response. (the only response is an automated email which mentions someone will get back to me in 3 working days). So depressing..

Now this is yet another classic example of the magnitude of Jet's drop in quality in a remarkably short time.

Less than 18 months ago, I actually praised much of their partner redemption process:

"Looking into partner availability was a simple enough process: you make a request online, by providing the route and class as well as giving them three date options, and they're supposed to get back to you in three days.

"They called me the same day. Surprisingly, the Jet man was actually pretty good: polite, efficient, knowledgeable and in possession of a sense of humour. Excellent job.

"...

"The nice JetMan warned me that booking on Cathay would mean I could not cancel or change the reservation in any way..."

this was the only part of the jp program that was running well....but they have caught up with the rest of the mismanaged program benefits over the last year or so....
