How about South Indian major cities - TRV/MAA/BLR/HYD.

It feels nice I can talk to ppl with airport codes, instead of spelling the entire names. I've been trying to teach my wife some of them and after a few months, she forgets.

Not sure either although if you take the Industry in General then the south is doing much better then the North as of now.

Most of my emails now refer to cities as Airport codes. Its just easier. My wife has given up on them now. :p

When we got engaged, she promised to memorize them and did quite well, till we got married. After that its been broken promises (more from me :D).

+1 defo. They are just getting silly now.

IMO, realty prices are going up not so much for the demand but because of the unholy nexus between the realty players, local politicians, banks ... Prices in most places have gone way beyond the reach of the average middle class and this is a problem..( and am not speaking abt DEL/BOM/BLR or any other metro prime locations).. Problem seems more because the realty players know that they can always depend on banks etc to bail them out so they never wanna sell at lower prices.. :td:

The newer portions of the city - HYD/BLR/MAA have been planned quite well, good roads, easy access expressways, especially to the airport. Not sure about TRV (I hears TRV roads are pretty bad).

The older portions of these cities are just like any other old city - congested, narrow roads and when it rains, it is water logged. However the businesses are fleeing to the newer portions so the crowds are getting lesser.
