BTW, looking at airtraffic over J&K I noticed that the departure out of SXR involves quite a few twists and turns. Is this because of the sourrounding terrain or are commerical aircraft only allowed to operate in some part of the airspace?

No award tickets on AI for UA MP members?
I notice since the last year there is zero availability on AI for *A programs. I am checking on UA MP awards and was hoping to use the Excursionist perk but due to no availability on AI, that becomes pretty much useless.
Till a couple of years back, we used to see many options on the US - India (CCU) sectors with flight changes in DEL / SIN / BOM with the domestic legs on AI but now for end destination as CCU, we only get international airlines which fly directly into CCU (SQ / TG) but never anything on AI. Has AI been completely blocking award tickets with UA MP miles? I see AI award tickets on DEL - CCU using Air Canada Aeroplan and hence curious. Thanks, |

UA for some time could only see AI J/F inventory and used to misprice AI F as J on the India - NA routes. For the last many months all award space on UA MP has completely vanished. |

On AC I often see only 1 seat available on most routes. Even when it was available, pricing was ridiculous. |

AFAIK AI hasn't been blocking award space from UA. They have no reason to.

Correct. Those 88k INDIA - North America fares in “O” class that should have been “I” led to the full vanishing.

I am not able to see any Y seats availability in AI anytime soon on UA MP website, so not sure they still release this for NA to India routes.

Hello all, Not sure where to post this question:
Arriving on EK and connecting to AI domestic (business class); Which airport will be better to connect: BLR or BOM? For BLR connection time is 2.5 hours For BOM connection time is 3.0 hours EK and AI are separate tickets. I know BOM airport pretty well and it is very efficient in general. Not sure about BLR. One pax will be using the wheelchair service. Final destination MAA (no space on EK direct to MAA for our dates). |
BOM is fine BLR should be fine too.
