I have 3 segments booked on IT for next month ... wish I could get AA miles for those ....

but it seems like I will be able to get BA miles .... or at the minimum we should start collecting IT miles ...

I'm getting repeated reports of AA Platinums and AA Executive Platinums being granted lounge access by IT at DEL when flying IT coach domestically from DEL. Not sure why this access is being granted, but this is either indicative of a policy change related to OW tie-ups or a case of YMMV as a result of agents of the airline and/or lounge not knowing what they should be doing.

Rumours are that in DEL T3, IT will have a brand spanking new lounge in which BA will be using for their 2x daily LHR flights.

EDITED TO ADD: Apparently all six OW airlines serving DEL will be using the IT lounge as per: http://www.flightglobal.com/articles...-oneworld.html

It's not a rumor -- or at least it runs in alignment with discussions of build-out plans that are in the possession of the government.

Has there been any news as to when IT will no longer allow redemptions with DL miles?

Whenever it happens, I expect it may mean a substantial cramp for some of those who have been crediting multiple persons' IT flights into single (non-IT) frequent flyer accounts.

Can one credit a IT flight to an AA account? I have an ORD-DEL-BLR itin with the DEL-BLR segment on IT. Its the same itinerary but the DEL - BLR does not appear as an AA Code share or flight number.

I have been just keeping the Kingfisher miles on that airline itself but find its a waste of miles (when am i going to need to redeem IT miles since I fly to India only on business).

As of right now (i.e. before they officially join OW), you cannot credit IT miles to AA. But an interesting option (if you are a *A guy) is to credit IT miles to CO (and leave there or transfer to UA).

You can also redeem your IT miles for flights operated by AF, AY, BA, DL, EK, KL or QR. And that is before IT becomes a full member of the Oneworld alliance.

You cannot currently credit IT flights to an AA account, but sooner or later that is going to be a possibility as IT moves closer to becoming a full member of Oneworld. IT crediting to CO (and UA in effect) is currently possible. I expect that IT relationship will eventually bite the dust along with some other IT partnerships.
