Through check in on BA for 9W?

Through check in on BA for 9W?
I will be travellling from DEL-LHR on 9W and then connection onto a domestic UK flight on a separate. The Jet Airways website says that through connections are possible on BA http://www.jetairways.com/EN/MY/Abou...nPartners.aspx but we all know that this is India and it can't be so easy.
Has anyone done this before? Was it easy enough on two etickets? Did they give you a boarding pass for the BA flight at check-in as the website suggests is possible.
What is the minimum connection time that they accept?

They used to be able to check you in on a connecting BA flight, but I don't think they do it anymore - there've been changes to the 9W-BA partnership.

The Jet airways website still suggests that they have a through check in agreement. I will call them to confirm and update.

Even 2 years back, they refused to - a friend of mine and I were both flying 9W to LHR and he had a connecting to Barbados on BA, but 9W refused to check him through.

Just to update through check in is allowed as long as you are on one ticket but they don't know what the excess luggage charges are for connecting flights if you are over your allowance. Should be interesting.

Surprise, surprise ! Very interesting ! Possibly they'll come up with a bill of charge at 35k feet !

I agree with you. But in this case Jet will be my main and the long haul carrier, BA is just a domestic connection. Luggage will be checked in to the final destination from DEL. So if Jet "allow" my business allowance at check in then I shouldn't face any problems from BA. But jet are saying that they will only allow the business allowance on the Jet portion and excess luggage charges will be payble for BA.

Originally I was booking two different tickets but decided on going for the more expensive option which was on one ticket. This way I am protected in case of any delays. Problem is that I am upgrading on the Jet portion so Jet is saying that they will only allow me excess luggage on the Jet flight and excess luggage will be payable on the domestic connection on BA. But they don't know what that is. BA only charges 35 pounds per bag which I don't mind paying but Jet is saying that it might be Rs300 per Kg which works out at close to 90 pounds a bag.
Thats a difference of 65 pounds per bag.
