IberiaPlus Login problems
I'm having trouble logging in to the Iberia Plus site. It didn't accept my password (which I'm positive was fine). I then tried a reset password, and I got the link on my email address. However, I get an error 'Sorry, we're temporarily unable to retrieve your password' when I try and update.
I tried calling their customer support, they were almost totally useless, First they said they could send me a reset password link (although I told them it wasn't working). Then they suggested using their contact web page to send a customer service request. I did that,, describing my problem in detail and in a few hours got back what looked like a machine generated email to just login from the top right hand corner login menu. Needless to say, this is totally useless.
The email also said that if I wasn't satisfied with the response, I could go back to the contact web page and ask for a follow up. Unfortunately, that page now keeps saying the email address I typed there is invalid (the same emai address l that received all of their other messages) and refuses to let me send the form.
I called their customer service again, and the person kept telling me to wait for a week for a response to my contact message. She completely ignored my repeatedly telling her that IberiaPlus seemed to consider the request I made closed. Then she claimed she couldn't hear what I was saying (a lie, IMHO).
I tried with 4 different browsers on 2 OSes. The website still doesn't work. This is infuriating. Questions
1) Should I wait a few days in the hope the request is actually open and they'll eventually fix my problems?
2) Should I try and create another account, and do all interactions from this point on with the mobile app, which may be less buggy? i have a Chase credit card linked to the Iberia Plus account, but not many (if any) miles on the account., so I might just be able to link it to the new account Or would that confuse matters still further if their back end systems see 2 accounts with the same Passport/other identification etc.
I see from previous threads that others have had IT problems with IberiaPlus, so I'd be interested in hearing how users resolve those issues (if they did at all).
Thanks for any suggestions.

This is a recurring problem for most customers. And The customer care process with Iberia is very frustrating.
you could try contacting Iberia on twitter via dm. The webcare employees are more helpfull and sorted this out for me more then once.

They also have a WhatsApp channel. Might that work?

Thanks for the suggestion. For an English language person, should I try Iberia_en (English language) twitter or Iberia? Iberia shows up as 'verified' on Twitter, but Iberia_en does not. (It's possible Iberia didn't want to pay to verify 2 accounts.)
They also have a WhatsApp channel. Might that work?

Last time I tried contacting Iberia on whatsapp it was just a bot.
Did you guys tried logging into your account on both website and app? In my experience sometimes one of those works of the other gives an error.

One thing to note, which seems to help me. I always set the website to Spain being the country, selecting the English language, and things seem to work ok. When I have it set for Switzerland, for example, nothing seems to work properly.

To follow up, after a fair amount of back and forth via the contacto web page, I finally got another link for 'reset password' from Iberia. Unfortunately, they sent it to my email when I was out, and it had only a 3-hour expiry (which is fine for an immediately requested link, but terrible for a CSR reply sent via email). The page informed me it was expired, but suggested I ask for a resend. I did and to my surprise it worked!
I don't know if customer service fixed something on the back end, or if it's just serendipity. However, I've decided that I'm going to transfer any CC earned Iberia Avios to BA regularly. BA's web site has its problems, but it's far less likely to keep me out. I think their award space is pooled anyway, after all Iberia Plus is owned by BA.
Thanks for all the suggestions.

I'm having the same problems. I've tried setting my location to Spain, but it makes no difference, whether in English or Spanish. I've tried asking for a password reset, but that doesn't work either. It almost looks as though the website has blocked my e-mail address. Does no-one from Iberia ever try and login to their own website?

I have a name mismatch between my BA and IB Avios accounts (the IB account is wrong). I called IB avios telephone number but the CSR said they could not fix it and provided a non-functional email address.
Is there a working email for Avios customer service? If not how can I fix? HUCA?

Well, now it was my turn ... not being able to log in. It seems that this issue happens from time to time as I can tell from others that have posted comments. I updated my name on my Iberia account to match my legal document. First, the system does not allow you to make this change oneself so you have to go through Iberia for help on this. I called and they told me to email Iberia. I emailed (received a reference number) and then a couple of days later I receive an email that my information was update...but it was not
I replied to the "not resolved" link which gave me another reference number. This went back and forth with some calls in between to their Customer Service for them to "escalate" the matter. I even downloaded the recommended browsers. I was panicking after reading from all the other people online that have experienced similar issues. Well, about almost a month later the problem is resolved. Yeah!
IBERIA if any of your people read these posts ...my suggestions are:
-IT techs needs to be shown all possible ways of correcting the "I cannot log into the Iberia system". It seems that you just have to pray that you eventually will get the IT tech that knows how to resolve this issue.
-You need a better system with your reference numbers. The issue should remain with the same reference number until resolved. I had 13 reference numbers before it was resolved. The link for "the issue not resolved" should include the original reference number. I think with so many reference number IT tech may not be sure if it was resolve or not. Too confusing.
-I think your Customer Service Department should focus on trips calls and not IT website issues. It is sad the customer issues have to be "escalated" through a phone call to the Customer Service Department in the first place. The customer at the end is your bread and butter. Iberia ... there are many airline companies out there. Don't snooze on this issue. As technology is advancing... you need to get your game on and get these "I cannot log in" issues down to 24 hours.
