  • Login problems: If you have trouble logging into the Iberia website, type in your number and password by hand instead of using autocomplete. For some people this fixes login issues.
  • Partner awards: Many flights on partners will not be available as one-way. You must redeem AA flights as a round trip for example
  • Cancellations: Iberia awards on AA cannot be cancelled.
Iberia Plus offer 9000 per booking 21/JUN to 24/JUN on iberia.com

Have you received any more news from BA recently? My BA household account is also blocked after transferring from IB to BA two days ago. Phoned local BA centre and been told they cannot do anything other than Email to the head office to find out reasons behind it.

Most ppl around me moved avios yesterday got their ba acct locked today due to "security measure". I did call but no further info could be provided. They just asked me to wait for email/mail to be sent from avios uk centre.
Anyway, I made redemptions already and only few leftovers there. I dont mind to provide any proof as I did over 5 times in the past (yes! My avios account was locked over 5 times in past years with very stupid reasons like someone logged in outside uk, email address has been changed twice within two mins... Blah blah...).
What is the normal outcome when the account is blocked? Asking IDs to verify the accounts? and how long does it take normally for them to "investigate"? Thanks very much in advance for answering these....

But an offer like that hasn't been seen in the last 4-5 years at least possibly even longer. All the recent offers have been in the $20k range at least that I can recall.

Here is an example of the most recent offer (I think): https://thepointsguy.com/news/britis...current-offer/
I think the absolute best BA Visa deal was from 2012 where you got 50,000 avios for your first purchase (any denomination) and then another 50,000 on your first anniversary: [Now Dead]100,000 BA Avios Chase Card, $150 fee

Sort of related to the thread's topic - is anyone else experiencing multiple charges on a credit card for your award bookings using your bonus Avios? All are still in "Pending" mode but I don't understand why my two bookings on Tuesday generated 6 charges per ticket, for the same amount. Then this morning my charge alert texts went off because the same charges were done again but this time 4 on one ticket and 3 for the other. It makes no sense. I won't panic yet unless all of them move to "Posted"!

Normal outcome? Just cannot login and/or avios balance reset to zero.
Verification documentation varies (read: inconsistent) each time. Sometimes need an address proof, sometimes just need a proof of a latest avios transaction, once even just need to make to call to show them I m a real person (regardless I have so many flying activities in acct...).
The processing time solely depends on their IT dept instead of audit dept (surprise?!). Usually I can finalise the thing with their auditors within one or two days (fb and twitter would be ur best frd), but not uncommon to wait over a week for their IT guy to unlock my acct and reinstate avios.
So... Good luck guys, they r easier to deal with than those idiots from IHG though.

My question - those of you who have already sent in the requested docs, how did you do it? 12 attachments or what? Thanks~
One email per IB+ number.

Passport scan - 500 kb, form scan 400 kb, eticket PDF - 66 kb x 10 = 660 kb.
It's less than 2 megabytes altogether. You should not need to worry about Gmail's 25 MB attachment limit.
C17PSGR and DebitNM like this.

Once we have verified your identification and proof of ticket purchase we will award the Avios due—as per the campaign terms and conditions—to your account.”

which says please attach a copy of any tickets.... doesn’t mention confirmation emails
Yes, I got that same email in Spanish, and it said

Además, si usted participó en la campaña de 9.000 Avios adicionales por compra de billetes en Iberia.com, por favor es necesario que adjunte los billetes comprados en este periodo para beneficiarse de la campaña en los mismos plazos indicados anteriormente.

It talks about copy of tickets, not copy of confirmation emails. All my tickets have issue date 23 & 24, even though ticketed in USA they go by Spain time (booked all on 23rd US time but some where already 24th Spanish time). In addition, I am not sure any PDF ticket confirmation has IB+ number at all. The IB+ numbers are now attached to all reservations, but a newest copy of Eticket I asked IB to send me, does not have it. I would not be so sure ticket confirmations have IB+ number. We would need someone with pre-exiting IB+ account to confirm if PDF etickets he received had IB+ number or not within that PDF.

no I called yesterday and they couldn’t tel me anything and didn’t know how long the account would be locked for. I’m part of a household account and I can see on my partners account the household balance including the 90,000 transfer is still in tact so will just have to wait it out.

Just found the mail asking for more information in my gmail spam folder. I checked it before, but it's in Spanish first and English only at the bottom, so I overlooked it.

I had sent the requested information yesterday already though, but didn't receive an auto reply. What exact subject did you use? Could that be that they look for just the number and match that? I used "Identity check for #0000000 ". Tried to resend it with just the number. Let's see if they get it now.

don't think it matters exactly how its worded but as long as the number is in the subject line.

I've sent mine again a few moments ago as 2 days ago sent it to no auto reply

sent it this time with the addition of pdf of every confirmation email too as it shows ib plus number in every booking even though not on the tickets
