  • Login problems: If you have trouble logging into the Iberia website, type in your number and password by hand instead of using autocomplete. For some people this fixes login issues.
  • Partner awards: Many flights on partners will not be available as one-way. You must redeem AA flights as a round trip for example
  • Cancellations: Iberia awards on AA cannot be cancelled.

USER: Your FT username
OWNER: SELF or WIFE/CHILD/MOM/DAD/etc. Owner of the account (i.e. the name on the account).
ACCT: NEW or OLD. New = created during promo period. Old = created prior to promo period.
YEAR: Optional. Year account opened.
DOCS?: DOCS or NO DOCS. Did you submit identity documentation to IB?
VERIFIED: VERIFIED or UNVERIFIED. Has IB actually verified the docs you submitted yet (via email confirmation)?
POSTED?: POSTED or NOT POSTED. Points posted to account?
# PTS: How many points have posted to the account so far?
MISSING: How many points (that were expected) did not actually post?

You need to sign up for an Aer Lingus account, then use that to log on to Avios.com.

should I also use an address in the UK or match my foreign address entered in my BA membership contact information?

For any transfer everything needs to match, name date of birth, address, e-mail etc. Transfers IB to BA are working fine and if yours are not, there is a chance that it is because something (e.g. e-mail) is mismatched.

Aer Lingus accepts any address, so I would make sure they match, yes.

unfortunately, everything match perfectly, I still got the " combine my Avios was unsuccessful" message. I also tried via avios.com after creating an Aer Lingus Account, still got the same problem

Your IB account needs to be “active.”
Earn some miles, transfer points or buy miles.
It also has to be at least 3 months old.

Sure, that seems obvious. My account is more than 3 months old and my IB plus account show I earned miles from flying the 15/09.
Can it be something with Capital letters on my name? IB automatically make it capital.

I faced the same error transferring my Avios to BA using Iberia/BA/Avios website. All personal details matched though. I then called up Iberia but they said they can't do the transfer on their end mentioning that their IT system was down for the last few weeks and has not yet been resolved (...! ) Anyone can verify that?

I also called BA Hotline to check but their CS was also facing the same error when trying to combine the Avios through their system. The helpful CS said that the error was from Iberia side. No luck!

This is getting suspicious. I believe our newly created accounts during the 90K promotion are intentionally being blocked by Iberia for the transfer again. No way out!
