1-As a PLAT who has already met that requirement during this period, I would like to call to see if I could get at least 5 additional stay credits, but I think that it is very unethical for me to try, especially since all posters claim they were DIA already.

2-If the program was targeted to others isn't it unethical for others to try to gain from that program?
Either Hyatt or not, many of us gripe about those who try to get miles/points from bizarre means. While I would like to gain 5 more stays as I have had them during this promotion, I am not sure if that accumulation is worth my personal values.

Aside: I guess seeing a rental car post specifically asking for a "USAA rental car code" which I've earned made upset. But if I am very naive, just tell me and I will call to gain (un)deserved credits as numerous have aready claimed to have done.

Not this one. I called to register and was told since I qualified as DIA last year, promo didn't apply to me. Only former DIA who lost their status were able to use promo.

Agree this was a real dud for actual travels and elites. Did it really attract any new business to Hyatt? Raise its profile? I doubt it. And at a waste of thousands of rooms that could have convinced multiprogram elites to bring Hyatt more of their spring/summer business. Whoever thought that one up, and whoever agreed to it, should be fired as it did more to alienate me towards Hyatt than engender any good will.

Well. This is not like lying who your employee is to use the corp code you are not entitled to. We can only sign up the promo only if GP allows us to. You just need to ask if you are eligible. A mistake it may be or not, it's not our responsibility. Maybe GP decided to extend this to all DIA anyway?
