The answer to the OP's question is "nothing of any significance."

Contrast SPG, IHG, even Best Western Faster Free Nights (1 for every 2 revenue stays/nights).

In a way I am happy Hyatt is not announcing anything - I can't even find justification to take advantage of SPG and PC promos - travel is way down.
Dealing with three equally attractive promos would be brutal...

I enrolled last week for double stay credit via email. Confirmed in 48 hours. Completed my first two stays this week. Just checked online today and see that my stay have been posted with double stay credit. I am already diamond and seeking to requalify for 2010.

Well, this certainly didn't live up to the hype IMHO. While I certainly don't want to bag on any promo that Hyatt offers, this promo certainly isn't as good as FFN. I'd say it's about half as good as FFN. And definitely worse than the SPG and IHG Stay 2, Get 1 free promos that are currently going on. Those chains will get my stays until the end of July and then I'll probably move back to Hyatt til Sept. Scratch that................................then I'll probably redeem my free SPG and IHG nights............................

It's a decent program, just nothing to write home about. I think we all expected SO MUCH given the hype created in West Hollywood that we assumed this would be a Grand Slam. It's more like a double.

SPG's FFN also added 1000 DL/NW miles per stay, so by far most lucrative offer this summer. I am sure I will have several stays with both programs this summer.

what promotion is that?

The promo that Karen announced after my post.

Quite frankly extra 2500 points per stay would be good under normal circumstances. But when SPG is offering free weekend nigh for every two stays and IHG has similar promotions but not weekend restriction it makes very difficult to choose Hyatt property over SPG or IC.

TravelGuy1965 Jun 12, 2009 12:51 pm

Agreed - IC's and SPGs are the winners this quarter unless Hyatt adds on a stackable promo.

+1 . On top of that, my almost every other stay earns extra 2000pts through BRG... No way I will be staying at Hyatt until after SPG's Promo !!!

There are loft of FT members that are top tier in various hotel programs. I just swing my stays who has the MOST lucrative promo going on.

Markie Jun 12, 2009 4:12 pm

As we now know 'what will June bring' I am going to close this thread. Please continue the discussion of the promo as announced in the thread for it.
