Looks like the resort opening has been delayed further; guests are complaining on the hotel's Instagram that their reservations have been canceled. Does anyone know when it might open?

We were actually in Sardinia (Olbia) a couple weeks ago and decided to go check it out. The gate is locked and a security guard posted, who just so happens to be an American but living in Sardinia. We chatted for a good while and he called up the Front Office Manager (Alice) who came up to meet us and apologized profusely that she was unable to give us a tour but promised that we can email her when we return next year and she will take good care of us. She told us they were planning on opening in August but looks like plans have changed.

I booked a stay in September as part of a trip to Europe, so I reached out to my concierge. She said the following:

They are training now and my information says August 1st for their official opening date.”

Take that FWIW but we should see in a few days.

I spoke with some one at the hotel and they said it would be August 1st.

Any guests visited the hotel since it opened?

Thino Aug 17, 2022 4:37 pm

I'm in the hotel now, and so far the experience is great. 5star all along. Yes, this is expensive, but cheaper than marriotts options on the Porto cervo side.
the staff is very well trained, sometimes almost too well…. I didn’t notice any construction going fwiw.

beachfan Aug 17, 2022 11:26 pm

How is the room size, and did they upgrade you?
thanks in advance!

I’m headed there in early Sept for honeymoon. They just sent me an email letting me know the spa, paddle, and tennis facilities are not completed yet, so are certain “room categories”. Curious if there’s been any updates to your experience since your post. Thanks!

We very lucky to get upgrade to a beach suite. I will say that the beach is not the most beautiful beach you can imagine, but it's nice to walk out and jump right in the sea.

Apologies for the delay.. went here for our mini-moon first week of September 2022. Property is brand new and 5-star quality for sure, but they were still doing some constructions on certain parts of the resort (wasn't any loud noise, I think they're just wrapping up interiors now). The spa was also not yet complete, but they've temporarily dedicated one of the guest rooms for treatments. I got a few massages that were excellent quality. The food & beverage on property was quite expensive, but we got free breakfast as a Globalist. I booked a Sea View Suite on points and was upgraded to a Rooftop Suite at check-in. Booked a 7-nights stay in high-season on points here and applied a suite upgrade award.

Member price for the suite for 7 nights is 29.000 € 🤯
Cost is 240.000 points.

Makes 12 Cent per point, which is a stunning redemption value 🤗

I did the same for a 5 nights stay in July. Incredible value, however their nightly rate for a suite (close to 4k) looks not sustainable. Time will tell, looking forward to this stay!

So, this hotel is a Category 7, but I see a standard night is now 45,000 a night where I was able to find availability.

That seems more than I would expect. Is the peak/ off peak difference so high at Hyatt?
