After making it to Globalist Lite last year, I've crossed over the 60 EQN threshold with my last stay, and am now a freshly-minted True Globalist(tm) through Feb 2026. I've gotten the form email congratulating me, along with the information that I'll be hearing from my new concierge soon. As there are some SUAs I"d like to apply to a couple of upcoming reservations for next year, this seems like the perfect opportunity to take advantage of my new MHC benefit.

How long is it, typically, before I should expect to receive an email introducing me to my concierge?

Thanks,
--woodstock

Honestly, as several of us have just shared, you can simply call the MHC phone line and any concierge that picks up can easily help you apply an suite upgrade. Your "assigned" concierge doesn't have any "magical" powers that the one answering the phone does not have. In my several years as a Globalist I've had more suite upgrades handled by generic concierge reps than by my assigned one.

Regards

There doesn't seem to be a "typical" time. There are reports here and elsewhere that it can take anywhere between 3 minutes and 3 years for one to hear from their assigned MHC.

Got Globalist for first time back in April 2023, received the welcome email from my Concierge in Jan 2024, solid 9 months later. Don’t get your hopes up!

Looking back through my emails, seems like I was assigned mine mid-Dec. The ones I’ve heard from were all in Dec or Jan; could be a coincidence.

The time it took to hear from my new concierge certainly fell within that window. :-)#

It was about one week after getting Globalist that an introductory email showed up. Hopefully, this is the start of a wonderful relationship...

My first MHC agent assigned was non-responsive.

Requested a new agent and granted. New MHC agent responds within 24hrs unless off.

Honestly find emailing the property team directly more efficient and helpful.

I'm Asia based as well. My Concierge over the years has been Philippines based. Although the first introductory email to me years ago stated their working hours as 9am-6pm KST (why Korea's timezone I don't know...as I was Singapore based). At any rate, now that I'm LTG, I'm back with the same concierge as before. Generally responsive and helpful.

Update to above...while I had been dealing with the 'GCC Southeast Asia' MHC team, I recently received a couple replies from the 'GCC China' MHC team (in addition to one from the Southeast Asia MHC on the same matter!). The China MHC team seems to be very efficient...good experience so far. While there hasn't been any notice of any handover, I'm thinking I might start directing my queries that direction.

One more data point ... hit 60 nights on March 29th. Still no concierge assigned as of August 21st.

I'm calling the Globalist line to inquire. Useful thread, despite the mixed reviews of MHC.

Quick update. Globalist line looked up my assigned MHC and emailed her for me. Got a reply pretty quickly, though the tone seemed annoyed that I had used the Globalist line to find her.

Don't expect much. Other than a select few who seem to have actually great and useful mhc (which anecdotally appear tied to the most valuable globs on opm), mhc is pretty much good for a phone number to get a random rep each time you call who generally answers faster and is a bit more competent than the normal phone. That's it.

This is accurate based on my experience. I don’t know how valuable I am to Hyatt but I am a LTG and was disappointed with the service I was receiving from my concierge. I had a very constructive call with the customer service leadership team and based on my feedback, they assigned me to a new concierge that they thought would match my expectations for the program. It has been 2 years since this change and my new concierge exceeds expectations and is extremely reliable with my requests. This is definitely a YMMV situation but I think MHC expectations should be aligned with value or tier status achievement with Hyatt.

I've tried to keep my expectations in check, especially with the DP provided on this thread. As it stands, MHC seems to be a bit slow to respond, but has helped with every request made so far.

I would suggest using the Globalist hotline for anything time-sensitive, like SUA for Maui or NYC.

My first MHC was a failure. Requested for a reassignment and granted.

Current MHC is very responsive and helpful. YMMV

How did you request a new agent? Mine has been MIA for a bit (but was very helpful in Q1). Debating how much longer I should wait before requesting a new one but not sure how to go about that.
