Is there an equivalent of a SPG Lurker on flyertalk for Hyatt?

I haven’t been “assigned” a MHC, so - based on excellent advice here - I’ve been using Twitter/X with outstanding results for things like applying suite upgrades, etc. Much better UX than calling the 800 number.

Getting completely ghosted even emailing the general MHC department in addition to my MHC. Sent an email about a TSU that X is having issues applying because the hotel is closed for the winter season. They opened a case. Trying to get MHC to expedite so the suite doesn't disappear.

No reply at all. That's the way mine works. |

Unfortunately Hyatt customer service has taken a nose dive since firing the lions share of their reps. That has put more pressure on the available senior agents Also sometimes they are out of office sick etc.In the good old days someone would follow up in their place. Some of the MHC agents still do a great job to their credit and one thing I always do is take their name and or email and save it when its a star level agent. But if I've learned anything even after all these decades sometimes drop the email and call MHC/hotel.If that doesn't work rinse and repeat When in doubt escalate and still they should have followed up with you! No excuse there.......Hope you get your suite! Cheers |
My assigned MHC concierge had been pretty non-responsive to emails in recent years, so I rarely reach out. I emailed last week about a minor billing issue and got a response from another MHC a few days later. After she resolved my issue I inquired if MHC was still MHC and apparently my assigned concierge has left Hyatt. I'm almost excited for a new MHC, but after following this thread long enough I know better than to get my hopes up...

In my own experience when a Hyatt Conceirge is no longer assigned to a Globalist the new one assigned sends along an email reasonably soon introducing themselves.I have to imagine the CS team has been through a lot in their
relationship with Hyatt having watched some of their colleagues been fired on the spot and shown the door same day. Trust in your workplace and experiencing that never inspires trust or motivation. I know it’s had an affect on me just hearing how it came down and how I view Hyatt not the hotels that I have solid relationships with. None the less the folks I have communicated with @ MHC have still remained kind, outgoing and professional and some still get the mission at hand accomplished! I prefer to call most of the time personally but like many still email when the need arises. Good luck shellyphl with your new MHC! |
My WoH Concierge has remained great and helpful! She has resolved 2 complicated bookings with a combination of award and cash nights, plus suite upgrade plus a 3rd person staying in the suite requiring a rollaway bed. Very satisfied

What is happening with Globalists concierges?
I have been Globalist for many years, and my concierge has changed over time. Some were great, some so-so, but in general I used to get a good service. The concierge associated with me for the last couple of years has been very responsive, following up to my emails within one or two days, except when she had off time (and the email used to inform me about her vacation times).
All this changed in the past month or so: No replies for many days, and random follow up from another concierge, "covering" for her. Sometimes I am under the impression that this other concierge is AI. Is anyone experiencing similar issues? |
They'll be getting rid of that soon anyway in all likelihood except for the highest dollar spenders.

Welcome to everyone else's world. This has been the globalist concierge experience for most others for years
