One more datapoint regarding MHC responsiveness and efficacy for 2 different requests. Recent Venetian stay, 4 nights booked and 98% paid (folio balance at checkout = $32, mostly tips) by Casino Marketing (Host). And "empowerment" regarding recent expiration of FNA.
Emailed MHC, 4 days until email reply stating no joy (for either request), details: Venetian, Empowerment. |
I emailed my concierge to change 1 night on a points stay to the 1-7 FNC I just received, and he took care of it and got back to me within 30 minutes on Christmas Eve.

Exactly why I don't bother to email. Pretty much still waiting on a response to my last email...

Maybe, for MHC the squeaky wheel does NOT get the grease*, maybe MHC has some discretion as to who, what, when, where and why** they reply.

Yup. I mean, it's clear that high high value globs (usually on opm) do actually get assigned to a higher quality, higher priority group of mhc, but overall it's basically just a phone number with faster access (during limited banker's hours) with mostly better agents.
It's just basic math overall I would agree, nonsense about squeaky wheels and so on notwithstanding. Sending one email and not getting a response for a week has nothing to do with grease and Ws. |

My private line rep was light years beyond anything I've ever had in the glob, mhc, ipo era.

MHC value and effectiveness is partially/likely a matter of perspective. The video below has been around for years. If the guest in the video had a MHC, it’s likely he would think little of his MHC (and vice versa).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WCqm4H3m3Ew Generally my MHC takes ~two weeks to respond with a "thanks for being a globalist! we value your loyalty so much. I cannot do anything to help here. but I appreciate you so much!". |

I would say that it's less a matter of perspective and more a matter of the effectiveness of the MHC. I've had a couple of different individuals assigned to me over the years and they have ranged from prompt and helpful through to totally useless and incapable of 1) handling the most basic of tasks and 2) providing a prompt response.

Mine will also take credit via email a week after I send it, after I've actually dealt with the issue via phone or X. Love that part. Good news for everyone else is that I've reduced the workload on my concierge but totally ignoring them completely, just as they basically do to me. |
