World of Hyatt Credit Card benefit details and notes
Anniversary Free Night Award (Category 1-4)
- Issued 10 weeks after cardmember anniversary date
- Expires 1 year after issuance
- Ineligible for use with Club Lounge Access Awards and Complimentary Suite Upgrade Awards
- The spend counter for this benefit tracks total cumulative purchases during the current calendar year (excluding $95 annual fee and any other non-qualifying transactions).
- The spend counter for this benefit resets at the beginning of every calendar year. Chase does not make this spend counter visible to customers, so interested customers must calculate their own. Note that this is a separate spend counter from the "Two Additional Night Credits" spend counter below.
- Issued 1-2 days after statement closing date of the triggering transaction (the transaction causing the spend counter to cross $15k)
- Expires 1 year after issuance
- Ineligible for use with Club Lounge Access Awards and Complimentary Suite Upgrade Awards
- Cardmembers are eligible for only 1 Additional Free Night Award per calendar year (e.g., spending $30k does not result in two Additional Free Night Awards
- The spend counter for this benefit tracks total cumulative purchases since account opening (excluding $95 annual fee and any other non-qualifying transactions)
- This spend counter never resets. Chase does not make this spend counter visible to customers, so interested customers must calculate their own. Note that this is a separate spend counter from the "Additional Free Night Award" spend counter above.
- Issued 1-2 days after statement closing date of the triggering transaction (the transaction causing the spend counter to cross a multiple of $5k)
- For World of Hyatt status qualification purposes, the night credits are associated with the TRANSACTION date of the triggering transaction, not the posting date and not the statement closing date. For example, triggering transactions on 12/31/2022 (transaction date) will result in 2 night credits for the 2022 status year, regardless of posting date or statement closing date. Based on FT reports, transaction date appears to be based on the US Eastern Time Zone.
- World of Hyatt Credit Card: timing for $5k spend 2 qualifying nights
- 4 Bonus Points per $1 spent on purchases at Hyatt hotels
- 2 Bonus Points per $1 spent on restaurants, airline tickets purchased directly from the airline, local transit and commuting, and fitness club and gym memberships
- 1 Bonus Point per $1 spent on all other purchases
- Discoverist status every year
- 5 qualifying night credits every year
- No foreign transaction fees
- Travel & purchase coverage
Other notes and tips
Chase spending tracker
- The Chase spending tracker is useful for calculating your spend counter for the $15k Additional Free Night Award and your spend counter for the Two Additional Night Credits

- Chase website: From the main page, on the right hand side, click the "Spending & Budgeting" menu, then choose "Spending Summary"
- Remember to add spend from prior calendar year(s) as needed (see spend counter notes above), and to subtract $95 annual fee and any other non-qualifying transactions from all years
- Full list of non-qualifying transactions: returns, refunds, balance transfers, cash advances, travelers checks, foreign currency, money orders, wire transfers or similar cash-like transactions, lottery tickets, casino gaming chips, race track wagers or similar betting transactions, any checks that access your account, interest, unauthorized or fraudulent charges, and fees of any kind, including an annual fee

So I spent $51k on my last statement and got the 51k points posted to my account but only 14 nights instead of the 20 I was expecting to get to Globalist.
Have this happen to any of you before? I did the same last year and all 20 night credits posted correctly. Now I am 6 nights short of Globalist with only 15 days left...

When I’ve spent a lot like 40k in a month it took several days to post and it posted like 2 or 4 nights at a time so that may be it.
Another thing is was all you’d spend actual spend not something considered a “cash equivalent” or anything? If not contact Chase.

My nights finally posted. I noticed that they post each pair every couple of hours. It took in total 3 days, but at the end all 20 nights posted automatically.

Hyatt Credit Card Earning Points
I know I earn 4 points per dollar at Hyatt hotels with the Chase credit card.
Do I also earn 4 points per dollar when I book the reservation at Hyatt if they charge my card or only for charges at the hotel?

Yep, I noticed it last month when my spend came in. It was posting two or four nights at a time. I was thinking of calling in or messaging via Twitter too. But after about 36 hours from when I saw the first two nights added all were added in.

So I think WOH Card has somehow changed my annual date. I originally signed up for the old Hyatt in April of 2018. I met my minimum spend to get the signup bonus right before the introduction of the WOH card. So I decided to upgrade in July and was told that my spending under the old Hyatt wasn't going to count to the 15 K threshold. And my understanding though was that my annual night would be based on my April initial card date.
I was charged $75 for the AF on the old card on May 1, 2018. Then I was credited ~$56 in July 15, 2018. And then charged $95 on December 1, 2018. A little late but I just assumed they were running behind based on all the upgrades they were probably doing for people.
I calculated my spending and got a free night certificate on February 11, 2019 when I calculated I hit 15K in spend after the opening of the WOH card. I then got a free night certificate on June 10, 2019, which would have been consistent with being about 8 weeks of the annual renewal date of the old Hyatt card. Strangely enough, I did not get an AF posted again until December 1, 2019 (no other AF posted in 2019 so not really complaining....just odd) and I have a new free night issued 12/11/2019. I don't know where this certificate is coming from, because I don't think I came close to hitting my 15K since 07/2019 for the new 15 K free night. Unless, they have now made the 15K free night a rolling certificate? Anyone have any answers or theories?
Also a totally separate question, anyone know if you can use multiple free night certs in a single reservation online?
