You are correct. It must have been an I.T. glitch. My Cat 1-4 award for 30 nights now shows expiration 180 days after the night was earned. (It posted after checkout, 3 days after the night was earned). Just yesterday it showed that this same award expires in May 2019. Now it shows November 2018.

However the brand explorer award (for 5 brands) still has expiration of 1 year after posting. (The actual award was earned 2 days earlier).

So, the 30-night and 55/60 night awards apparently expire 180 days after they are earned. The Cardholder Anniversary and Brand Explorer awards apparently expire one year after they are posted. All facts and figures are subject to the normal Hyatt I.T. glitches.

Are TSUs on award reservations still not getting e-mail confirmations when applied? When I called in to Hyatt to apply the TSU, the rep confirmed the upgrade and said to expect an e-mail, but I haven't gotten one.

I didn't receive any emails for the two I just applied. They do show as redeemed in my account, which sometimes didn't show in the past until I stayed. Only one of the two reservations clearly shows the upgraded room type.

My account doesn't show any TSUs applied nor any room type in the reservations.

Guess I'll e-mail the property to confirm.

I just applied a TSU yesterday and it showed in the email. It wasn't in the original email sent. But I called them back and had them resend and sure enough it was there.

As a follow-up to this, my TSU wasn't properly applied so I am really glad that I followed up with the property. As I now have a 'My Hyatt Concierge', my concierge told me the application of TSU triggers a reservation change and thus an e-mail should be sent, regardless of whether it is a points booking; a TSU should also show as deducted as soon as it is confirmed. So if you don't get an e-mail indicating a reservation change and a TSU isn't deducted from your account, the TSU was probably not confirmed properly.

It's too bad that this wasn't done right the first time when I called into the Diamond line, but I'm glad it seems to have worked out.

I was told that by an all points reservation you will not get an email. I confirmed with the hotel and the TSU was correctly applied

"My Hyatt Concierge" was explicit that even with a points reservation, application of TSU will trigger a reservation change and thus an e-mail should be sent (and I did receive an e-mail notification after the concierge fixed whatever issue there had been with my prior TSU attempt). In any case, who really knows. Just wish Hyatt IT would get their act together - having to involve so many different people/parties in the TSU process just leads to so many chances of errors, not to mention inconsistent experience especially with varying concierge/agent quality.

Globalist suite upgrades 2 rooms per stay?
new Hyatt card sounds tempting but would only work if I can use two upgrades per stay for my family of 6?

Anyome know now if that’s possible?

Yes it is, I've done it multiple times for kids, parents, etc. while travelling with us.

Recently received the following COMPLIMENTARY suite upgrades as a Globalist (no TSU was used):
1. Park Hyatt Paris Vendome, May 2018, upgraded to Park Suite
2. Andaz 5th Avenue, July 2018, upgraded to beautiful Suite Room (separate bedroom and living room)
3. Andaz San Diego, July 2018 upgraded to their incredibly sumptuous Life Style Suite, their best accommodation in the hotel!

Enjoying it and love the Globalist recognition.
