We stayed here earlier this week, after a pretty disastrous time at the JW Jaipur and what a refuge to recharge the Andaz was. We had booked one room under he Prive rate and another under an award stay. Prive gets free land rover transfers from the airport which is a nice touch and I have never had such a short and private escort out of a large airport as this. Through customs and into the car in 3 minutes tops. We knew we were back in action with this kind of service before we even entered the property.
Prive room was upgrade to basic suite and we got at least another 1-2 class upgrade to a huge residential suite with a kitchen, plus a deluxe twin upgrade for the second room (adjoining). This place is super well done, the physical plant, the service and the food. Nice touch to have the calmness of the little cordoned off area of aerocity. Not a lot there, but nice to walk around after being overwhelmed by chaos in Jaipur and Varanasi for a week.
Food, ate at both HK Club (also had free globalist happy hour there too) and it was good, especially since we were looking for spicy asian and a reprieve from curry. Nice band there too. AnnaMaya was decent too, had a quite bite there upon arrival. Also prices were decent so our $100 Prive credit went a long way! Glad we only booked one room under Prive, we wouldnt have spent $200 if we had a second credit.
This place rocks, I would not hesitate to recommend it if you have a long stopover (as we did) or just need a really nice hotel to bide some time in Delhi.

Does this hotel have a free wine hour in the lobby like all other Andaz hotels around the world each evening? Do they still offer the Globalist happy hour with free drinks in the bar on top of that or is it one or the other?
If I recall, the hotel is within walking distance to the metro for those wanting to go downtown, right?

Hi - I am also wondering if I can get some more recent information on the Andaz. We have stayed at the Hyatt Regency Delhi for many years and were quite satisfied. But they are temporarily "not a Hyatt" due to some dispute that's ongoing.
I only found this out after buying our plane tickets for March! Such a good, solid hotel since the 90s we didn't expect that!
So now we are booked at the Andaz in a runway view suite. My questions:
Does anyone have knowledge of the best suites? 401 and 501 looked good on the youtube videos. We have a long-term stay and need to be comfortable. Is the runway view preferable to the courtyard view? Any personal experiences would be appreciated.
We will have a driver but the distance is still a worry. Has anyone done a long stay here? The residences are not an option for us.

I booked a night in August on a Prive rate for a short stopover at DEL. Airport transfers don't seem to be included, at least for the base room I booked. I'll arrive at 6 in the morning -- hopefully it won't be too long before I can check in.

Yes, we did stay at the Andaz for over 3 weeks and it was great! We had suite 401 which was a runway view and it was a great suite! The staff is phenomenal, The distance wasn't really a factor. All in all, it was a superb stay. I'd stay again, for sure.

Wondering if this hotel is playing games with the base room. My Hyatt Concierge claims no base rooms avail at all in Jan or Feb 2023. Is that possible? Do they have like 1 base room or something silly?
