Diamond bed type guarantee?

Just returned from a one night stay at the centric Santa Barbara. We reserved a two queen room but received a king and a rollaway with no comment. I called from the room and asked for them to confirm I would be receiving the points for the diamond bed guarantee. They sounded clueless and called me back a few mins later saying they'd call gold passport to deposit the points.

How many points are we entitled to for the centric brand? I didn't see it listed in the t&cs.

Exactly.... please report back to what they are offering, that's pretty lame getting a king + rollaway.

There is no bed guarantee. Just an empty promise to "get it right".

Reach out to Jeff Zidell, and rest assured that he'll get it right.

Forget the points. I would refuse to pay the full rate, certainly no more than half.

Oh wow! I googled it at the hotel and a Hyatt page came up!! Ugh. The rollaway sucked, too, unlike the super comfy one my toddler used at the Manchester grand Hyatt in San Diego.

We paid for the stay in points so perhaps that's why we got what we got..

Thanks for your input guys, I will reach out to the contact above.

Well, nothing. I just got my diamond amenity points but they didn't post the 500 points we "won" in the check in raffle they offered us, nor did we receive any points for the bedding issue.

Question - were you given a Diamond "upgraded" room? Maybe they though you would prefer a "view" room with king bed and rollaway than a standard 2 queen. I'm not saying it right but just curious.

Not that I'm aware of.. it was a normal room right next to the pool. Perhaps they thought that having no privacy with the shades open constitutes a view? Lol
