Getting a suite on top of it, however, requires a bit more than just booking four weeks in a row, LT Diamond will not hurt in this case.

I would suspect that an ordinary joe who books for 3 months is very likely to get better treatment than a Lifetime/Diamond who books for 2 nights.
I know for a fact that a non-status-holder who books a convention providing several hundred room-nights on an otherwise dead weekend gets treated a hell of a lot better than a Diamond member who books a room. (Said better treatment might well result in him ceasing to be a non-status-holder.)

First of all, people who book conventions with several hundred rooms kill everyone, including LT Diamonds at that property; maybe not Courtesy Card holders (well, in the end, they sign the cheque for that convention
)LT Diamond members are treated fairly well and normally do not necessarily need upgrade instruments in regular situations, I am not talking about extraordinary events here and treatment at properties varies massively.
Back in the days, LT Diamond had a higher VIP code than the highest regular Diamond member, so you get the idea.
And we have two more players in the game:
Courtesy Card holders, who clearly outperform LT Diamond members
Long term (repeated) guests.
90 days at Coconut Point incl. a suite for free deserves much more respect in my book in comparison to Grand Cypress (again, roughly 30 suites vs. 70 suites)
But again, if you stayed there for 90 days in a row over the last 10+ years, we are talking about revenue streams that will get you LT Diamond just based on your stays at this particular property.
In general, some of the posts by Ancien M. are a bit off. He is a newly comped Diamond member without lots of experience after all, so one should give him a break. @:-)
In the end, he did not receive anything special (basically standard suites after using suite upgrade instruments) and he is very happy about it.
In the end, I value his informative posts and 'disregard' the rookie mistakes.
At a certain point in time, we all started to accumulate knowledge about Hyatt and GPP.

Knock off the off topic posts especially ones that border on (or outright) personal attacks. I'm getting really tired of issuing warnings in this thread.

For those who wanted to argue for the diamond status, did you contact Chase or Hyatt GP or both? Whom should be hold responsible? I read a couple of pages in the thread, and it seems HGP is a better start point, isn't it? Thanks!

They just paid another multi-billion dollar fine for Maddoff issues. Being investigated for China issues. Payed billions in fines for FHA and FNMA mortgage issues. Paid a billion fine for London Whale issue. Settled for debit card/line of credit/overdraft fee abuse issues. Do they want their "friends" in Obama administration to investigate credit card marketing now, right before 2014 election campaign?
I have seen Jamie on C-Span testifying on the Hill about Chase problems so many hours I really feel sorry for him. Seriously. He looks in pain the whole time. Nobody would want to do that again.

The contract is with Chase. I have now fulfilled my side of the contract but they have yet to fulfill theirs. I am sending secure message to Chase asking for full compliance with contract Chase and I entered into.

This post and similar posts from people who share similar ideas continue to entertain me. Anyone who thinks a marketing error rises to the level of wrongdoing as found in the legal issues JPM has or will soon settle is... well, I'll let everyone else fill in their own appropriate adjectives.

If there were a chance of anybody actually getting this, Hyatt would just rename all its levels up one so Diamond would be the second-highest level with the same benefits as Platinum has now, and they'd create a new higher level with (current) Diamond benefits and requirements.

Nonsense. Are you seriously considering Hyatt to revamp the whole GP program just to appease a few Credit Card Diamonds? There are more elegant ways to solve this matter. Changing the whole levels, sending out new membership materials and the marketing campaigns would all cost a pretty penny.
Could cost more than a pretty penny to honor the error.
But the point is that the permanent Diamond (as we call it) is obviously an error. There is no leg to stand on in the court of law. But, I'll leave it up to lawyertalk to give us the Coles notes.

The terms clearly state that you must apply by 12/12/13. So the window has been closed for a while even if they've left the link active.
Hyatt and Chase are telling people to pound sand on this one. I think only a lawsuit would cause any response, and of course then they can just cancel your card even if you win. So there you have it.
