For the sake of transparency you should mention mandatory daily resort fees.

Yeah the cheapest out the door rates I have paid have been $46 or so. No Diamond amenity on those though, so you earn very few points. Honestly, factor in that you can find Hyatt Regency properties in some cities for $50 or $60 bucks and those include 1000 pt Diamond bonus for Diamonds, and there are some excellent alternatives.

absolutely correct ! Wish they came up with promo including all of December (holiday travel)

20 separate stays???

Has anyone else considered 20 stays? At the minimun I'll get an extra 10,000 points. I don't have enough Hyatt Regency hotels where I travel to get 1,000 points. I figure this will make up for my 4th of July four day stay at the category 4 I plan on staying at.

Traveling alone I have the flexibility to sprinkle in one night stays between my primary hotel.

Diamond arrival gift.

I was speaking of using stays to receive 20 Diamond arrival gifts instead of 1 to 4 gifts with longer stays.

20 gifts x 500 points = 10,000
20 gifts x 1,000 points = 20,000

This would just be the gravy on top of the points you'd get for staying anyway.

+1..

I figure that the hotels are relatively full anyways, so Hyatt probably doesn't need to pad the business.

50K + potentially 20K if staying at full service hotels if choosing the Diamond 1K amenity + whatever points earned on spend + status bonus on spend

Better yet find a place with a closed lounge.

Last year, I registered for a promo late, and I did not get retroactive credit. I remember going back to read the T&C and it did say that only stays after registration would count. I again missed this one until yesterday. I had a stay from the 8th until the 13th of Sept and am glad to see the T&C seems to indicate that I should be getting credit for the nights from 9th to 13th at least.

It's very probable that the stellar Hyatt IT cannot handle booking that overlap with the start of the promo..... My 3 night booking of which the last night was on Sept 9th wasn't counted as a one night stay for the promotion.
