Charging for TOOTHPASTE
I'm currently at the Hyatt Midtown, Atlanta and was told by the front desk they no longer offer complimentary toothpaste they now sell it. I was given the toothpaste for free, but find this rather disappointing.

Perhaps it depends on the property. We received complimentary toothpaste recently at Coconut Point amongst complimentary amenities offerings from the front desk.
We did not try at Cypress, but there was no toothpaste left in the room. We are currently on our 12th night of 15 night stay.

Toothpaste seems scarce internationally (as addition to just the USA). I'm currently at Andaz Liverpool Street London and there is no sign of any toothpaste in the room. Still, it's a great hotel.

Strange. My more recent experiences have all been cards in the room offering up a dozen or more travel-grade items for the asking (including, but oh so not limited to toothpaste). Last HP stay they just had a tray out for the taking. I threw away the ratty old stuff and restocked my travel kit.

Late October: Hyatt House Sorrento Mesa did not have it in rooms, had a carton of it at the front desk and handed it out to someone who asked.
At all prior stays, it was in rooms and refreshed (replaced) daily.
