Very good cash rates have me looking at this location for five night stay next summer.
-Has anyone been upgraded to Eiffel tower view as explorist? Am I probably out of luck there unless I'm globalist?
-Is it worth the extra $20 to upgrade to an Eiffel view, or better to just hope I get lucky?

It's lovely to see the tower sparkling for 5 mins on the hour at night. We had a room at the end of the building 2416? so also had a view of the Arc de Triomphe.
Is it worth it to you? I'd put in a request now and ask again on arrival if necessary.

You can see the Eiffel tower view at the Windo Bar on the 34th floor. (It doubles up as the breakfast area of the lounge in the morning)

I was upgraded as an Explorist, but on my previous stay had paid for an Eiffel view (if that matters).

Has anyone had success with an early check-in request? We are landing at 830AM and will have no lounge access at CDG for arrivals, so I assume with clearing immigration and taking the bus to the hotel, we will probably arrive around 1030-1100A and would like to get early access to the room to rest for an hour, and shower and clean up before heading out for exploring.
No Hyatt status, but we are on a TA agent rate, so not sure if status matters anyway.

As Diamond/Globalist, I was always given access to Club for breakfast on arrival before room assignment. When the Regency Club was closed for renovations, front desk agent would escort me to the restaurant for complementary breakfast.
If occupancy is high, then no chance. If occupancy is low, then there is a chance.

I've had mixed success with early check in, so yes, it definitely depends on occupancy and front desk staff.
Another question I have, has to do with WINDOS restaurant, I read recently that for one of the window tables, you had to spend a minimum of $60 ? In the past, I would go up for a drink around 5pm and the place was empty with all tables available. Is this a new policy, or only after a certain time ? (Although with drink prices in the mid 20's, it wouldn't take much to get to 60 !)

When I was there a couple of years ago (during the renovation and in the old club), they had really good Champagne in the lounge (I can't recall what it was). I wonder if they still do.

No more Champagne when I was there (twice this year) but the new lounge is very nice and the best food offering I've seen in a Hyatt European lounge (ie much better than GH Berlin or HR Düsseldorf). Maybe even not too far from GH HK (except the Ruinart and amazing service of course)?

We will be there next summer and was wondering what the breakfast scene is like. Globalist only allowed lounge, or choice of lounge/ restaurant? If lounge only, I presume based on your statement it’s of high quality? The usual fresh baked pastries, cheeses etc.
Anybody has a different opinion to Sophoclefr’s in regards to the lounge?
