No, not online. I suspect that customer service might be able to tell you if you contact them. I have never tried because I am not "aiming" for lifetime status- will be happy if I happen to get it some day though.

If they don't know where to find it, let them know it's in your "Tier history".

I figure I have about 400K max, so I won't worry about it for now.

On my GP account page, credits for usage of my Hyatt Visa show as "base" points. Will these count towards lifetime status?

Edit: just brought my data to Excel. 256k base points from stays. Another 28k on Hyatt visa. Most disturbing: I became a GP member in 2005 and I wasn't savvy about my account until I joined FT. In looking back, I was short-changed A LOT (!) of points in the past.

Pleasant surprise for sure

Have been Gold Passport member since 1990 or thereabouts and had Diamond status for about 10 of those years but not consecutively. Due to the economy and travel cutbacks and also the acquisition of a dog and desire to use dog-friendly hotels and switching stays to Marriott in hopes of using points at Residence Inns with the pups, hadn't stayed at Hyatts much the past three or four years.

Last December, though, checked into San Diego Andaz and was greeted with, "Welcome and thank you for being a lifetime Diamond member." Huh? Got taken to an amazing room and thought it must be a mistake. A week later received a new card in the mail and above the word Diamond it said, "Valid Thru Lifetime."

So I guess it can't be taken away. Was at Hyatt Grand Champions for Bob Hope Classic a couple of weeks ago on a $179 a night rate and was escorted by my butler to a villa. This lifetime thing is growing on me.

Congratulations on your achievement!
I think more then a few of us are envious.
Hyatt has stated that earning this requires one million base points from eligible hotel stay only spending
Did you do so?

According to one source in Omaha (We**) no Hyatt Credit card points will count as base points They are considered promotional points
The one million points will still need to be earned through eligible spending in hotels only

They come through as base points, at least online. Is this source suggesting there are now THREE categories -- base points not counting for lifetime, regular base points and bonus points?

Unfortunately we will have to wait till Monday to get further clarification from a long time GP manager.
The training and support from Hyatt Gold Passport is very weak typically on weekends accept for booking basic reservations by phone
We can have the official and final word on the subject we all want to be aware of ^
Thanks for your patience

I never had a Hyatt-related credit card so as far as I can tell it was from eligible hotel spending only. I also have a vague recollection from the last year I earned Diamond status of making a telephone reservation and being congratulated on earning lifetime Diamond status. This was probably five or six years ago. But then nothing ever happened, fell out of Diamond and once called the Gold Passport Desk and was told there was no such thing as "lifetime" Diamond. So I never thought about it again until now.

Just went and checked. Joined Hyatt Gold Passport in February of 1990 and have had some sort of status since and Diamond during at least 10 of the years though not consecutively. I have 1,354,952 lifetime points earned. It seems as if I must have passed the 1 million base points after a 17-day stay at the Grand Hyatt in New York during the U.S. Open tennis last year. My next stay after that was when I checked into the San Diego Andaz and was welcomed as "lifetime Diamond." But I'm just not sure how to figure out how the 1,354,952 lifetime points earned breaks down.
