I wish this "AND" could be replaced by "OR".

OR would be much better than AND.

I can tell you that the benefit is exactly as stated. No additional treatment above Diamond. BTW, I understand there are about 200-250 of us worldwide.

Since Lifetime Diamond does not get any additional benefits over normal Diamond, how about something like:

1,000,000 lifetime base points

or

2,000,000 lifetime total points

or

1,000 paid nights

or

500 paid stays

or

12 years of Diamond Status

But the Lifetime status is quite a perk, considering this is the top tier in the top hotel program. Does anybody else do this? United will only give me Premiere Executive for life, not 1K or UGS. Lowering the requirements for Lifetime Diamond would dilute the program to some degree. So the bar is high for this level, but it should be for such a benefit.

Personally, I'd like to see an even higher level offering suite upgrades, club access and guaranteed award space like SPG. Ultra-Diamond for 50 stays or 100 nights. This would be something I would strive for, and would guarantee even more of my business. Diamond has been like falling off a log for me for the past 13 years, but there are still about 15-20 stays/year going to other hotels.

How to be Diamond lifetime member?

I am just curious how to become Diamond lifetime member. Also, what's good about it? even better than regular Diamond member?

I believe it is 10 Diamond years (perhaps consecutive) and 1 million lifetime Gold Passport points. The benefit is in the name. I am not sure what hotels offer a lifetime status (I believe *Wood and Hilton do not.) And the airlines do not give lifetime status in their top tier.

1,000,000 Lifetime Points

It should be noted that the 1 million GP points are BASE points and not all GP points, so all those bonus points don't help you at all.

Actually, DL does, but it is a new benefit and was the topic of a lot of discussion over on that board when it was announced. I'm not firm on the latest details from DL, but my understanding is as follows: Once you've earned 4 million Medallion Qualifying Miles (like Q-miles for you AA folks), you'll receive "complimentary annual Platinum Medallion status." You earn lifetime Silver at 1MM and Lifetime Gold at 2MM.

AA also offers lifetime: 1MM = Gold, 2MM = Platinum. Not sure about EXP.
