G2 Posting Time?

Hi all.

Very infrequent Hyatt stayer. Just had my first stay in 4 years (horrible experience in ACA) a couple weeks ago. The check out girl gave me a g2 2000 point bonus when I was checking out but I haven't seen it show up yet. The stay itself and the points for the room posted about 2 weeks ago now.

Is this typical or should I start moving to make the claim on the 2000 points?

After this stay I must admit Hyatt is looking more and more like my number 2 choice now as it was a very good stay.

The G bonuses should post with your stay, but as most of us here discovered long ago, they seldom do. You must call customer service to request the bonus, but given this reads like it was a "courtesy" bonus and not an actual promotional bonus as most Gs are, you may want to contact the hotel first.

I would contact the hotel directly - since they coded it as G2 - and if G2 isn't running for the property, it won't post - they need to code it a different way for the "courtesy".

Thanks. I will be able to swing by in a couple weeks.

Make sure to double check your invoice for all the correct codes before you leave too. When they're on the invoice, all is usually well when posting, at least in my experience.

G2 was definitely on my printout from check out. Only way I'd know what code she used.

Will be back near enough the hotel in a couple weeks so will swing in and ask.

Thanks all.

If it shows on your folio then call the customer service center and have them post the points. Should they need confirmation you can fax your folio to them. No need to contact or drop into the hotel.

But this is 2000 "compensation" points - not a "regular" G2 - but was coded as such - there probably is no G2 running at the property - hence it did not post. CS won't be able to resolve this.

Since I have more than a week before I'm anywhere near the hotel, I'll call. But based on what I'm reading I figure I'll have to swing in.

It took 4 days for my G2 code to post my last Hyatt stay. No calls or anything else were necessary.
