Thanks very much rmccamman.

Do I use your name in the space where it asks for employees name?

Probably a dumb question I know.

Rate DOES NOT qualify for Free Nights Promotion

This is already common knowledge. But I had an experience where I did end up getting credit for it.

I had booked a recent stay at IC San Francisco using this rate, well aware that I would not get credit towards the Free Night Promotion. A few days after my stay, I checked my account and did not see that stay show up at all. It was almost as if I never stayed there. I called Ambassador Customer Service. They pulled up my stay and manually made the adjustment to my account. When I checked it the next day, viola - it also counted towards the Free Nights Promotion!

can you use the friends and family rate on Friday - and then a free BOGO night on Saturday?

Strictly speaking, no. The F&F rate is a promotional rate. That being said, there have been some isolated instances where BOGOs have been accepted on promotional rates. If you are intent on trying your luck using a BOGO with this rate (and are not adverse to possible rejection), your best bet would be to make a second reservation at a fully refundable rate for the Saturday, present your BOGO when checking in on Friday, and hope for the best. Of course you will need to plan for the event of rejection, such as having a backup reservation elsewhere for the Saturday.

This offer is better value than F+F

Give it a try, using code AIM09.

"Choose from over 400 participating Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and Express by Holiday Inn hotels across the UK, Ireland, Europe and the Middle East."

That just links to the Exclusive 35% off rate, which is a good promo, but it's one well-covered on this board.

Like everything else, sometimes one rate is better than the other. F&F rates can be higher and lower than all sorts of rates. One should always check all promos before booking.

That's the hotel I booked for next month but if you're staying for 4 nights (which I am) it's actually a little better booking through Orbitz and using their $75 off 4 or more nights code. 4ODWR75

$213.24 for 4 nights a.i. and I believe I get the PC points as well.
It was $216 with F&F and no points.

Still, thanks to the OP for sharing!

So do stays at the rates count towards RA qualification and/or earn promo points?

I appologize if this question has already been answered.

I got a question concerning the cancellation policy of these rates.

It says in the T&C that it is 4pm on the day prior to arrival for Europe. However, every hotel Ive checked so far is showing "non refundable, no change". Which one is correct?

With Orvitz you likely not get Priority Points.
